phattbaztard
My 87 pathy has a been of shake in the front end, much like a tire has a bubble. the other day I crawled under the front end to inspect things. I noticed that all of my cv boots are torn, i am missing one sway bar bushing and the other is bad, and my sway bar end links appear to be shot. i am sure that all of these are important issues to address but which of the three will keep my truck from shakin'? also if i push/pull on the sway bar should it move, because it does. thanks baztard
88pathoffroad
Tire balance has more to do with it than the swaybar.
placeandshow
ORDER OF LIKELIHOOD: It's not the sway bar 1: Tire Balance/Tire ware 2: Tie rod ends 3: Ball joint/s 4: (WD21 only) Torsion strut/ Torsion strut bushings you might ware your front tires out real quick, not to mention die. phattbaztard
I think that it is the tire because it is more of a wobble than a shake. I will be putting new tires this weekend. any suggestions? wanna keep it decent yet cheap.
placeandshow
If they look ok, they might just need to be balanced. If you knock off one of the little lead weights, that they put on your rims, your vehicle will start shakin' like Jerry Lee Lewis. Also, I plug Discount Tire Co., every chance I get ( I have no affiliation). They'll do repairs and balances, for non-customers, for free on occasion, and i havn't been able to beat their prices.
