i havent done the cap and rotor but new plugs and wires within the last month.

it is an 87 model so i dont think the lights come on. i did just change the pcv valve and i can tell that there is substantially more "get-up". i actually bought the truck in late may and i have been doing maintenance since then. btw ghost the color is what i like to call DOG D1CK RED!!! anymore suggestions??

i have been having probs with horrible gas mileage. it only cost about $30 to fill up, but im getting @ 180 miles to the tank!! as we all know that averages out to too damn much a month. i have done a couple of searches and seem to think that the 02 sensor could be 1 problem. i was also wandering if anyone knew how to adjust the timing? i believe it is the Z24 or Z24i (dont even know the difference). please help.

where at and how much??

I am very much aware of the consequences with the dark colors, but i dont plan on putting it ina show anytime soon. the paint on there now "looks" like a factory 2 tone (red/maroon). i could finger-paint it and it would look better than it does now!!!

what i am really looking for is a more agressive looking bumper, without it be 300lbs. something that doesnt look as cheap as stock. by the way how do i get the site to email me whenever i have a reply? they are enabled but no alert is sent!!

thanks for the input guys, but i have decided to take the plunge and just paint the truck. i will have this weekend off so i will be taking some before and after pictures. the truck will go from "DOG D!CK RED" to black metallic. the body is in half way decent condition aside from some minor spots so not much detail there. any suggestions let me know. -bastard-

according to some items on ebay the 87-95 pathy and the 88-95 hardbody are interchangeable.

does anyone else have an opinion?? will get pics up within next 2 days!

will a weekend or 2 of clay bar treatment help oxidized paint or should i just repaint the whole truck? thanks

does anyone know if the 87 nissan p-up and the 87 pathy headlights are the same??? also what are some of the most common front end upgrades done on the 87?? thanks

so i think that we are all agreed that we will run into some issues with the vg30de swap. if one could remove the inner fender wells to open the bay up some would that help? is the issue with the engine being too long or too wide or both??? i am sure that if enough of us throw out ideas then someone (ME) would be willing to chop the engine bay to pieces!!! -baztard-

what does the temp sending unit look like? i noticed that i have an exhaust leak also but i doubt that could be anywhere close to the problem!

the alarm is a black widow x5 (remote start, keyless entry, 2 way pager yada yada yada). i am pretty sure that i need two relays but i wanted to know what you guys have done.

i am installing an alarm on my pathy. it doesnt have factory door locks so i put in aftermarket actuators. i believe that i have it wired the correct way, but my question is do i need relays to get the door locks to work when i hit my buttons????

i would still be pissed. it sucks the way i found out where the leak was... ...go to start the truck, no starter. walked to the gas station (6 am) in the rain for jumper cables. jump start didnt work. walked to auto zone (still raining) for a new starter. my brother comes over and we push start the pathy. on the way to his house to replace starter i get cut off and bumped into a wall on the highway, then rear ended and knocked back across the highway and over a curb. extremely minimal damage to pathy!!! BTW anyone know where to find taillights?

i found that the leak was coming from my valve cover gasket. after a new gasket set and 1 tube of high temp permatex the leak is gone. thanks all

obvious being fluid levels, fan not working, leaks, busted hoses, engine oil. I actually power washed the radiator clean about a week ago, so nothing blocking the flow.

my 87 pathy 4cyl has been getting hot here lately. it only does it when i am on the highway. it was fine until i changed the oil. i noticed that it had a giant STP oil filter and the FRAM that i picked up was half the size (around). could this be my problem, or is it probably something else? "Of course i have already checked the obvious!!!"

ok so I cleaned the switch and all that bs in there. my problem is still not fixed. i would like to be able to see the road at night. right now it looks as if i have two very old flashlights lighting up the road. sfbayarea how hard was the whole relay thing? sounds easy just cant picture what your saying(typing)
