I was lookin into ball joint spacers earlier today, and was wondering if there is really any down side to adding them as far as any extra stress or wear on the suspension by useing them. Also just to clarify since im no real grease monkey 4x4parts refers to 2 different sets, one for use with stock 'a-arms' and one for aftermarket, a-arm is the UCA correct?

Do a search for them on here. Lots of information, and unfortunately, not too much that's positive. You'll get it aligned, however, you'll end up killing CV's in no time, as they allow for more front end travel. Problem is, the CV's can't handle more travel.

Save your money, and get a good set of aftermarket upper control arms. They're far superior, and won't kill your CV's.

On top of that, as 88_Pathy said, search for 88Pathoffroad's posts about the use of ball joint spacers, and what they did to his stock Upper Control Arms.
