Steering Problems

My pathfinder is a 93 and I haved changed the center link and tie rods and I have a rancho 5000 steering damper.

 

Why when you have the 4wheel drive engaged and you are driving in a bad terrain, if you look the car from the front coming to you the front tires are bouncing from left to right when you are in straigh line and some times the look like they are pointing in.

 

Does the aftermarket centerlink (lpperformance) as example fix this problem?

What else I have to change?

All the torque causes them to make use of all the play in the steering system. If nothing is bent or broken afterward then it wasn't over stressed. The aftermarket kits won't stop the movement, but help reduce the breakage that can result.

 

(Nate Murry ran a L&P kit on his Frontier at RTCC at the Badlands last year. In the rock crawl section he had both the front wheels almost full lock inward, one hung up on a rock with the truck floored. No breakage or bending of tie rods, I was impressed.)

The Calmini kits stops bumpsteer....I'm not sayin, just sayin.

With the LP CL I have very slight toe in. I think it is in the IA though. It is awesome for a reasonable upgrade.
