Bassomatic
Just bought a 2003 4x4 LE w/ 17" wheels and was wondering what is the largest size tire I can use without rubbing the wheel wells. Any help would be great.

Bassomatic
Would this size work? 275/65HR17, or 265/65/17, I can't find any 31's or 30's with 65/17 rim size. Stock size is 245/65/17. Thanks
nissandoms47
supercharged xterras come with 17" wheels. They come stock with 265/65/17. which is pretty much a 31x10.
RWC5S2
Unless you are in love with the 17" rims you would most likely be better off buying 15" rims and new 31" tires. 17" tires are so much more money it is unreal.
Bassomatic
Word, thanks man. What are some good pathfinder parts stores? (Websites) I here a lot of talk about A/C? What is that?
nissandoms47
i really like the look of the newer 17" wheels. but what kind of parts are you wanting to get? AC is Automotive Customizers. They have tons of stuff.
RWC5S2
4hweelparts.com has lots of stuff you might be interested in. They have tons of rims and such. I do not think they are the best place to buy stuff but you can see things that are available. We are kind of limited for after market off-road goodies for the newer Pathfinders, 99.5-2004. RWC5S2
Oops, I forgot. You can run the 31" tires if you trim the excess plastic inside the front wheel wells. You can almost cut off the useless stuff with a good sharp knife. It is easy to see what to cut when you have some one turn the tires back and forth. It is no big deal to do. You will rub if you really stuff the tires but it only is the tire rubbiing on plastic, nothing to worry about.
Bassomatic
I want to stick with the stock rims. But it seems that a bfg at will not fit. Duler at's are ok, but I am really not sure. I will be doing light off roading but mostly city driving. But I do like an aggressive tire.
nissandoms47
why wont BFGs fit? i think they would fit just fine. well i looked on BFGs website, they have a 245/75/17 which is actually a 31.8x9.8. i think it might fit.
RWC5S2
If you have the spiffy 17" rims from the factory with no offset that would explain the tire fit problem. Need an offset to fit the bigger tire.
Bassomatic
It just seemed like there was not anything from BFG other that the Long Trail that would fit, 265/65/17 or 245/65/
