87pathfinder4banger
does anyone have any photos or diagrams of the vacuum hose setup for the z24 motor?? i looked in my haynes repair manual but it mentions hoses once or twice. something's wierd with the way mine's running and i think it's a vacuum hose, but im not sure since i have nothing to go off of

That'd be a pretty obvious find. Other than that, I don't see why you'd need a manual diagram of the system setup.
MatterHorn
there aren't that many vacuum hoses for either the z24 or the vg30 ... you should be able to visually inspect everything and should notice if anything is missing ... the REAL thing to look out is to see if there are any that are cracked, or not sealing properly in which case they will need to be cut down and remounted provided there is still enough length ... a TBI to manifold leak could be considered a vacuum leak too ... so check that ... an easy way to check it all is to spray certain areas with a can of engine start ... any leaks will suck it in and you will hear the idle go up on the engine ... 87pathfinder4banger
i checked the obvious, no cracks, holes, or loose wires. but everyone i mention it to says it seems like a vacuum problem. one of these days when i get some $$$ im gonna take it in and get it tuned up properly
