hmrepairs
Can somebody tell me what the power switch switch actually does on my 93 pathfinder. I've just bought this to rebuild, and am learning all about pathfinders from scratch. One thing I have discovered, 143,000 miles and not a single grease zerk installed on the front end!!! Can you believe it, never seen a grease gun. Thanks in advance.
headpeace
it basically makes the tranny not change gears until a much higher rpm, if you floor it from stop it will automatically go into "power" mode
88pathoffroad
The power button changes the shift points for the trans so you can get up to speed faster. The Power light should also come on by itself (even if the button is off) and activate that mode when you floor the gas pedal. It will turn itself off after you get to cruising speed and/or let off the gas. Under normal highway driving, leave the button off.
