Upgraded Steering

Ok..I posted before about fixing my steering, and I went ahead and put new factory tie rod assemblys and all new bushings, just to fix it for the time being. I went out yesterday and bent the new tie rods. I knew it would happen and I have spares so anyway, to the point of this post. L&P or Calmini?????????

One of them will be ordered in January and I'd like some serious input on which one I should get.

In a previous post everyone says get L&P because it's cheaper and just as good, plus you retain the stock tie rod ends so getting parts is more convenient. My questions is why the hell would I want the stock ends when that's what I'm bending? Am I missing something?

I'm seriously leaning towards the Calmini kit because of the upgraded ends and it looks beefier. Although it is more expensive, I'd rather have the stronger of the two choices. Does anyone here have the calmini kit? Are there any disadvantages to it?

I know if I stick to east trails I wouldn't bend/break my truck but I'm doing more and more challenging stuff everytime I go out..and I know I'm going to break stuff eventually. But I would like to get the best steering kit for the type of terrain and obstacles I do when I go out and not be afraid of breaking out on the trail for trying to do something that the jeep creeps say I shouldn't, cuz honestly I like showing them up after they can't do it.

The reason you bend the stock tie rods so easily with the stock steering is because of the twisting allowed by the stock centerlink. The L&P solution eliminates that, and makes the stock tie rods less of an issue. Yes, it is still POSSIBLE to bend them, though much less likely. My guess is if you'd bend one with a stock tie rod, you'd bend the stock outer with the Calmini kit as well.
