OK, this is not my pathfinder, it belongs to a good friend of mine. Its a 94 with over 100k on it. The problem, it runs very very poorly. The engine sounds like its missing on every other hit, sometimes you can't take it over 10 mph. Sounds like it has a "chatter box" that kicks the engine down after 2.5 rmp. It backfires and has blown off 2 mufflers this week. We have taken it to several dif. shops and nobody can figure out what is going on. We have installed (all new) coil, distributor, plugs, wires. Also, we have no check engine light. If anybody can help, please do. P.S. it does not need to warm up before it happens, it can happen as soon as you turn it on, or 20 minutes down the road. If you need anymore information please just let me know, we need to get this puppy fixed because his astro van just isn't pimpin these days.

well. are the plug wires in the right order? how about plug gaps? how about any loose wires or missing ground wires? (i there are 4 of em on my pathy) have you checked ALL connections? how about codes on the ECU? my check engine light doesn't work either, but i go to the ECU when she's not running right.

OK, we took the passenger seat out and looked at the brain. We found a black wire pulled out of the harness. If looking at it from the back seat, it was the one on the far right on the bottom. We shoved it back in and the problems seem to have vanished. After driving it for a good 30 min it was trouble free. I hope it really was this simple. Thanks for you input guys, if you have anything else to throw at me please do, but I think we found the problem...but this thing has proven us wrong time and time again.

launches grenade....... :lol::hide: J/K..... yeah, a wire disconnected on these trucks can cause a boat load of problems.... let us know how she goes :aok:
