Fuel Cell

So, has anyone delt with fuel cells before? Should I say, "replaced the original tank with a cell"? I'm curious to know if I could still use the original fuel pump with a cell or would I have to convert over to one that is compatible with the cell tank? If so, what would it take for the whole ECU to read everything accordingly? I thought I would check with you all before talking to a professional and have them feed me a line shot schiznit! :oops:

Why would you want to convert?

Fuel cells are more compact, generally speaking, but that's also cause they don't usually hold 21 gallons like the stock tank does. I think you'd have to go to an external pump is all. Get one that runs about 45 psi and the stock fuel pressure regulator should work exactly the same as it does with the stock pump.

check yer state laws on running fuel cells as well..... ie: placement/pump locations etc.....

As for right now, yes, but might throw it in the back cargo area once the Pathy is just an Off-road toy. Once that happens, I'll be doing the 350 swap and go from there. Gas prices are killing us all, so why make it worse.

'Snot a good idea to put a fuel tank INSIDE the vehicle. I think it'd be slightly dangerous in an accident. I wouldn't want to get sprayed with gas as the truck rolls off the road after getting rear-ended by someone.
