Guest jcatlin
I just installed a new deck (which looks great with the rest of the dash btw!) and I'm underwhelmed by the performance of the stock speakers. In addition to that, the left rear speaker isn't working at all (unrelated to the new deck.) I've read what I could find on speaker options for pathfinders, but I'm not clear on what sizes might work in a '97 Pathfinder. What I had read didn't seem to say what year Pathfinder they were talking about. What would fit out of the box? What would fit with slight modification to the doors? Ah one more thing - the tweeters in the frame up front, what about those? If anyone has a link to this info I'd gladly just go read up on it all -j-
KnightRyder
The best fit for speakers for the doors would be 6-3/4", go to sounddomain.com or crutchfield.com to look for speakers.
big_johnson
An even better site for audio stuff is woofersetc.com, great prices. Do you have any pics of the new deck?
red-finder
I put new 5x7 speakers in the rear of my 95 Pathfinder, but I had to do some cutting. Can you fit 6x9's in the front door speaker holes? I know I will have to do some cutting, but can it be done? I got mine from Crutchfield and they don't offer any speakers that fit the factory spots. statikuz
You might be able to... I put 5x7's in there as well with a little bit of cutting... made myself some MDF speaker mounts too for some reason. I forget why. =)
