sorry - I should have been more specific when I said "bullbar" I mean this kind... (yeah - I'd love the ARB, actually a TJM - but they dont make them for my year ... anyway my stock bumper is only a week old - just got it back from the body shop)

A question for the R50 owners with lifts... One thing that shys me away from getting a lift (besides being cash strapped ) is the idea of added wear & tear on the truck... Because I am in an Xterra Club I know that there are a lot of things to take into consideration when getting a lift - as it puts added stress on certain parts of the truck... But I have no idea what it might do to my truck. If I were to get the 2" lift (like the one from AC, or similar) what additional maintence, or wear & tear should I expect on my truck? Besides paying for the lift - should I expect other expenses...?? Thanks in advanced.

Do you guys that have the brush guard offroad much? The reason I ask - is that the general consensus among a lot of people I know who offroad dont care for the brushguards (or "shopping carts") as they can, in some cases, cause more damage (as opposed to protecting)... I am wondering what your thoughts were... Also, If this is a concern - would getting a 'bull bar' (just the bar that comes up the front middle - but doesnt cover the lights) be better - or less likely to cause damage? I have neither... but I do like the look of some of them - and as I cant see myself dropping the $1200 (USD, plus customs and duty and whatever other charges customs feels like adding) on an ARB Bumper... I am wondering about alternate places to mount lights... (besides the roof of course)

Maybe they only make the Xterra hitches?? I know they are the same... I've never compared the Pathy hitch - I have the 1.5" (? or 1.25?? the small square one) hitch from Nissan... would like to upgrade to a class III, but I havent looked into it yet.
-
Correct me if I am wrong - but I thought Hidden Hitch makes the Nissan Hitches... the only difference is the brand labels...

Thanks - I have posted the "guess my weight game" on the Xterra board... will let you know... I'm pretty much dependant on how much it costs to ship... Let me know if there are some there in good shape - if you happen to go. Thank you! EDIT: Seems after posting my question on the X board - a few users might be willing to part with their crosser bars... so please dont go out just for me... if youre out there - have a look & let me know what you see... otherwise - I'm in no hurry - I can wait! Thanks!

why thank you! It's not too shabby - for stock

no problemmo - where are you located?

to introduce you to my sarcasm - here is my renditions of an R50 on 37's

good question re: drivers side window is slow - mine too... it works fine, but it seems like its working too hard to roll up.
-
I guess it would depend on how much it would cost to ship them to Canada... and duty & crap... not sure if you can mark car parts as a "gift" to avoid duty... heh... I know there's a few people looking for them...

a bit off topic (sorry) - but do those Xterra's have the roof racks on them? looking for a couple of the crosser bars...

I've seen some pictures of the caliper clearance with 15's on an 02-03, it was too tight for comfort. :o I had a set of 15" wheels (rims) for the my 99.5 pathy... had to give em to the hubby for his Xterra... When we had a look at the clearance around the caliper with the stock 16's that are on it - we couldnt even get a finger width in there... well, at least we stopped arguing over who would get the wheels! -argue- found it funny the pathy rims wouldnt fit on a PATHY!

Runnerman - when you have the Xterra skids set up - check out www.soxc.org - Southern Ontario Xterra Club - I know a few guys who are skidplate shopping there... (there are also a few Pathy & fronty owners on the site) I did some searching the web for skidplates - heard nothing but good things about your stuff...

02-04 Xterra/Frontier Supercharger Work on a 1996?
Pezzy replied to a topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
From what I hear from the SC - X owners... it's not really worth it just sucks more gas and premium gas at that... -
I've camped in the truck a few times... I prefer a tent - but when youre camping early or late in the season, its a lot more comfy (read: warm & dry) in the truck!

I assume the 01 is the same as the 99.5 I did my bearings/hubs a few weeks ago - and yes, the rotors have to come off...
-
have a look under : http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=2838 for more fuel economy info as for cleaning your fuel injectors - I have heard the same, that it will help - you can buy a bottle of fuel injector cleaner @ an auto supply place & add it to a full tank of gas... which reminds me... I bought some a while ago - but never have it on hand when I fill up!

DSM - kudos to you... I just finished setting up some tees for my Xterra Club... lots of work, and much patience needed with everyones input... thought i'd show off my designs... maybe spark some inspiration! the back: I see cafepress was mentioned above... they're stuff is ok, I think their main selling point is convenience! I have a tee from them, and the ones we had silkscreened are WAY better quality!

So what is the largest tire for stock suspension?
Pezzy replied to a topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
from that above link: any more info on that? I have a spare set of 15" pathy rims I was planning on using... maybe I have to give them up to my better half?? (noooooooo!!) (mine is a 99.5 XE w/ 16's now) -
I was looking into doing mine a while ago - my Service Advisor gave me this info:
