  1. I've never weighed them, but I am running the 16" alloys from the 99/Y2K pathfinder. Also I switch back to steelies/studded 15" for the North Idaho winters. The 16" look good, have good tire choices and like mentioned the stability with the smaller sidewall in noticable off-road.
  2. Thanks, I have already determined that the 02 sensor is bad-I just wanted to find out if running my rig for a couple of weeks with it disconnected will hurt anything.
  3. okay, thanks. I have run codes on the ecu-and it reads 55, so no malfs there. as far as the exhaust-I have 220k miles and it is the original. and living in ID no need for a cat once I replace. So other than a clogged for the short term cat, I am not worried about it for now. Just want to make sure the Engine doesn't get hurt for the short term-2 weeks of a bad O2 sensor for daily driving.
  4. so my 02 sensor is bad on my 93, and aside from less optimal gas mileage. Will it hurt anything by driving with out it for a little while? It actually is doing pretty well, once it comes up to temp. And I am still getting about 300 miles out of a tank of gas. thanks
  5. sorry if it has been asked before. But not wanting to buy a new spare wheel, is the spare wheel/rim okay to put a full size tire on?
  6. I ran the tank through and is got smoother and smoother. Now with a fresh tank of gas it is running GREAT! Even with the Marvel in the last tank I still got 320 Miles of mixed driving. Also the lifter tick I had has gone away! thanks for the input.
  7. Pissed would be the word! seems like it is doing better already, so I will keep my fingers crossed. a buddy used the Marvel, in both fuel and oil and it made his (same year) Hardbody perk up.
  8. I hope its not the MAF! It is driveable, up through the gears, but if you are over geared-like rolling along 35mph in 4th-it kinda chugs along until the RPMs come up. could this be my O2 sensor? Change plugs/wires or run this tank of fuel with the Marvel in it and start over?
  9. I ran the ecu codes and got no codes My truck runs great until it comes into temperature. While this makes it sound like an o2 sensor, i unplugged it with no change. also I recently dumped some Marvel Mystery Oil in the fuel tank-so could this be a cause of rough running after coming up to temp?
  10. So I have a 93SE with 218k miles. And the previous owner had replaced the Manifold studs with BOLTS (all of them) I found this out after I was trying to tighten up a rattling Heat Shield. The Heat Shield was all crack and bent, with two bolts broken off. So I removed it completely from the drivers side. Now no more rattle! The other side rattles too. So is it okay to remove them without damaging anything under the hood due to NO Heat Shields? Also, should I look into replacing the Bolts with studs? So far they are all tight with no leaking manifolds. and Lastly, when I purchased the truck, the Transfer case would not go into Neutral or 4lo (yes I pushed down etc.) So I pulled the shifter up to see what was the matter-and the lockout bracket would not let the lever down or back to engage Neutral or 4lo. I decided to just pull the bracket as well-it shifts really nice now! My suspicion is that in the 16 years my pathy has been around, it has never had the transfer case in neutral or 4lo. So other than being aware of the shifting bracket being gone from the transfer case, is it bad ju-ju to not have it? thanks this forum has been an awesome resource that already saved me lots of $$ and time making this rig more reliable and more fun to drive!
  11. Just to ad my .02 worth, on my 93SE with MT I get 310miles from FULL to out of gas! with no low fuel light. Thank goodness for jerry cans!
  12. found the diverter but not the motor that drives it. Is there a relay that may be out? I am trying to avoid taking the dash out to get to it. anyone else have the diverter go down? thanks
  13. Thankfully it's still defrosting! I have checked fuses and even swapped AC controler. But the vents are stuck on the Defroster. Where is the servo/motor to change vents? thanks.
  14. The Defroster vents are the only ones that are operating on my 93SE Pathy. I am thankful that my windows are at least clear! But my toes are getting cold. Has anyone else had this happen? No matter which vent button is pushed it still only goes through the defrost vent. thanks
  15. Wanted to say hi to everyone. Lurking on this Forum for the last couple of weeks convinced me that my (new to me) 93 SE Pathfinder with 218k miles was the right choice. I found this pathy at a lowend car lot, where they were asking 2300.00-ended up making an offer of 1200. out the door, and she was mine! While the mileage is a little scary for me, the engine fired up with no trouble and immediately settled on a smooth idle at around 700RPM. It pulls strong up to 70mph plus, the Manual trans is smooth, also now that we have snow in North Idaho I got to really check out the 4X4. Shifting the transfer case is flawless! I do not however have the service records, and am concerned about the timing belt-is there an inspection to check or should I just have it changed? And for tires, I plan on using this Pathy as a daily driver and for fishing and hunting using the forestry roads, so what would somebody reccomend? For now I plan on keep her stock under the hood and suspension-but I am sure that will change in the future! Again, Hi and I hope to see ya in the woods!
