  1. I have a path 90. When I brake at high speed, the truck pull the right... Any idea about the cause of that?? By the way, my spark plug have about 50000km, is it time to change them? I ask that question because it's a pain in the hiney each time I go the garage to change the spark plug. They have problem to remove them and my fear is they broke one in the engine... So is is possible to keep them until 75000km? I have 370000km on the truck and I planning to change next year.... Snif ((
  2. The problem is really in the DRL module because I just have to tap a little bit on the module to solve the problem... But when it's cold, like this time of the year, the problem is harder to solve... So, I want to find a used DRL or fix it but I want to know if somebody has already did that and how???
  3. I have an intermittant problem about high beam on the driver side. I'm pretty sure is causing by the DRL module because the high beam start to work when I tap on this module... I tried to find a used DRL but without succes... So is anybody have already tried to fix his DRL (cold solder inside)???? This module is only install on canadian truck....
  4. I have a Pathfinder 1990. Last week I had a special brake problem... Everything was ok in the morning, but after driving few km, I found that the pedal travel was longer a lot to stop the truck!!! I had to press the pedal to the floor to brake... I stop, I check the oil brake and it was OK, full!!! I test the brake to block the wheel and it was fine with a lot of pressure on the pedal to the floor... The strange think is: it return to normal the next day without any repair and it's still ok today.... My idea is, I had a jam galiper during this time.... Is anybody have a clue for me???? Thanks!
  5. My manual transmission has develop this stupide whining noise for the seconde time!! Last time, I paid 1000$ CAN to change the bearing inside. Now, 70000km later, the same problem is come back... I saw that this was cause by a design problem on the transmission case causing a lack of lubrification... So, What are the consequence if I do nothing about that??? Is it possible to solve the problem in changing only the transmssion oil?? Thanks!
  6. I have a Nissan Pathfinder 1990 and there is an overheating problem under my right foot when I drive... It's there since while... Somebody tell me that there was suppose to be an heat shield attaching under the floor at this place??? On mine there is nothing at all. All heat shield were around the exhaust pipe and there were eat by rust... So, I want to know if someone had this problem and how he fixed it?????
  7. simon, Is it possible for you to found the part number of this heat shield? I have to double check in the haynes manual but I'm pretty sure it was not there... Thanks.
  8. Mine is 1990 and if you look in the haynes manual there is no heatshield at this position... The heat shild were around the exaust pipe and there is nothing now. If I understand you, you're heat shield is attach to the floor, is that right??? May be this part is only on the 1995 so they correct the problem over the years... Please give me more info about that. Thanks!
  9. For my transmission I'm pretty sure it's a worn bearing inside because it's OK on 4th speed. When you are in 4th speed there is no gear, the engin drive the wheel directly and that's why there is no noise... So, it will stay like that until it brake!!! Simon, you said that there was an heat shield under the right foot on the driver seat. On mine there is nothing... There were heat shield over the exaust pipe, kind of clamp shell but there are gone since a while... So what kind of heat shield you used and where you put it??????
  10. Simon, My Pathfinder is exactly like your Pathfinder! It's a red one like that. Do you have the 31'' tire on it? I removed them long time ago to chang for 235 75R15 because it was better in snow. How many km you have on it? I'm pretty sure the problem I have comes from a bearing ... By the way, do you have a problem of floor heating under the driver position? Thanks!
  11. I have a Nissan Pathfinder 1990 with about 360000km. The transmission is noisy on 1, 2, 3, and 5 speeds and only when I torque it. It's a kind of whining noise, not a grinding noise. What could it be the cause of that???
