  1. No. The resonator is just another muffler to tone down the sound.
  2. My 2001 LE has 16's and a few guys around here are running 15's. Here's a recent topic http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=19457
  3. I would say that is a pretty good guess. But it could also be a plugged catalytic. Or a bad MAF would cause the systems your describing.
  4. Thanks for all the replies guys. I have a appointment setup for next wednesday at my buddies shop. He's replacing the muffler with a Magnaflow and running 2.5" pipe without a resonator and I'm gonna have him do some sort of tip. I'll take some pics and post em' up when I'm done.
  5. Anyone tried eliminating the rear muffler and running a pipe off the mid muffler and out the back? How does it sound?
  6. My 2001 was built in October 2000 and has the VQ motor. I would say that is wrong.
  7. Late 2000 build, model year 2001 are the first year of the VQ engine.
  8. More than likely they bumped something. I would make them fix it.
  9. You were overdue years ago if you have that many miles on it. It should be changed every couple of years. Brake fluid is hydroscopic. It absorbs moisture which lowers the boiling point and makes the pedal mushy. I would get it flushed out. Brake fluid isn't that expensive.
