  1. I see. At the start of 2007 they changed a few things. That is what made it possible for me to import whole cars (un-cut). With motor in same container but out of car.
  2. I imported R32 R33 RPS13 EG EJ FC FD and many many other JDM cars. I have a broker that gets me all of the legal information I need... I would like to know where you get your information. If its not from the EPA the Feds or the US customs agency, then it cant be as good as mine... I ddint pay my broker over 60k to go ask the locals if it is legal... He went to the source and got me all of the information I needed , and some. P.S. That must suck to get audited on a regular basis....

91 XE-V6 Ignition Signal Missing In Primary Coil So to fix this I need a new distributor ? The distributor is what sends the signal to the coil correct?
  6. Pay for your time? I already paid enough to my broker to get my business legal and going :-P , and then the market crashed... Had to sell it. :-( You just stated my point. As long as u get it inspected by the state and it passes, u are good to go. I guess the most important question is, is this going to be a street legal pathy or strictly off road? If its for off road application then you are good to go.
  7. Dont meant to knock you down, but I use to import JDM cars and engines, and as long as you get it inspected by the state, and it passes, you are fine. Is the pathy being registered in a area which has emissions?
  8. Who are you and ... dude... where is my pathfinder?!!!!
  9. my 91 auto has that button. It sounds like it has something to do with your ignition... Can u get a new key cut? I have a 180sx nissan key from japan that works as my pathfinder key :-\ .. haha Nissans and ignition seem to be very lame as far as how easy they are to make work..... I can use my Silvia key in most of my friends Nissans and with a little jiggle, it can unlock a door and start the car... Scarry stuff... U might want to buy a new ignition.
  10. What was your missfire issue?
  11. does that go on a roof rack or is that its own assembly?
  12. did you ever figure anything out? I am looking for a good rack, can anyone make me one or give me a good idea of what to look for?
  13. I am not getting any... :-\ I am going to go start it up and let it sit and check again right now.
  14. Correct me if I am wrong, but all 94's came with VG's didnt they?
  15. So, I know I have spark, it runs and drives, but how am I supposed to tell when its supposed to spark ??? What are the symptoms of a bad distributor?
  16. What is CKP and how do I check spark under load?
  17. So I went driving up this mountain near where I live, in 4L, just cruising along. 91 pathfinder XE-V6 I came up to a small hill and so I started to give it some more, and it started to miss and sputter I stopped put it in park and rev'd it up a little to see if it was still doing it under no load, and it wouldn't rev past 4k, the more throttle I gave it, the more it would miss. So I parked it, checked everything, it all seems to be fine, let it cool down, started it back up, and it idles fine, but under any load, it misses randomly. I limped it down the mountain, and started taking back roads home. I could only get up to 35 mph on a flat area, uphill was hell and I basically had to idle up any steep hill, so I pulled over to let a few cars past me. and it died.... I let it sit for about 2 min, and then tried to start it again. it started right up. It ran fine, with the occasional miss fire all the way back home (30 miles), it felt sluggish, as if the timing was off a little, or it was only running on 4. After it started to run better, the tach. sits at 2 positions, 800rpm (with no throttle) and if I give it any throttle, it jumps to 4000 and stays there no matter how much throttle I give it, and as soon as I let off the throttle it drops back down to 800, instant response for the tach. I checked the codes, and it doesn't say anything is wrong. I have experienced other cars doing this to me in the past, and 99% of the time it was the module in the distributor. Does it sound like that is what it might be?
  18. Bringing back this old thread so I dont get yelled at for making a new one :-) I found a good deal on some: TIRES - Mickey Thompson Baja Radial MTZ Tires 31x10.50R15LT 80% tread left WHEELS - Rock Crawler Series 97, Steel 15x8, on 6x5.5 Black Powder Coat 520$ I am checking on the backspacing as we speak, I just wanted to see if these would be ok for a stock pathfinder?
  19. Hey thanks! So I drove it around today, went down to bellingham, and back, (about 10 miles) everything seems to be in good running order.
  20. I ended up getting all the stuff and replacing it. I reset the ECU and I got a code 55. All systems clear. Runs good so far. I will take it to go get gas tomorrow, and then drive it around town for a bit to make sure she is all fixed ! I drove it up and down the street, checking out the 4H and 4L. I have never owned a 4x. I was curious to know, since it is an auto, how should I shift from 2H into 4H and to 4L? I don't have the owners manual, so when I was playing around with it, I didn't really know what I was doing. I put it in Park, and it shifts into 4H fine, drove around the parking lot and got a feel for it. I stopped and put it in park again, and it wont let me shift it into 4L without first putting it into Neutral. Is that normal? So after I got it in 4L i crawled over a few curbs in the parking lot and then drove home and up over the side of the road into my yard .. This thing is fun! lol So I went to put it back into 2H so I put it in park, and took it out of 4L and into N and then when I try to go from N, past 4H into 2H it grinds. I had to shut off the engine to keep it from grinding, so I started it up, put it in 4L and tried to put it into 2H again with it running, and it would grind a little and then it popped in (thud, and kinda learched forward)... I dont want to hurt it, and I dont know what I am doing, so maybe someone can tell me what I need to be doing? Any help is much appreciated.
  21. Thanks! I will test it tomorrow when I put all the new parts on. One last question before I go tinker with it some more. Anyone know a good place to buy replacement parts? The local schmucks wants 100$ for a set of crappy plug wires. I found better ones for cheaper online, just wanted to get some opinions on what everyone runs, and also spark plugs... I have always had good luck with the NGK v power. Anyone?
  22. Well, after further inspection, I checked the codes and this is what I got. It was 21, which in my book says ignition coil something or other.. So I pulled off the coil wire to the dizzy, and where it connects from the cap to the wire, its all burned, and it didnt feel like it clicked in to the cap, it just pulled right out with like, no effort.... So, thats what I found so far. I am going to replace the ignition stuff tomorrow. Does anyone know if the coil is something that goes bad often? How can I test it?
