Started a new thread so no one gets confused with the last thread I had about trying to find some help. I was told that in order to fix my blower motor that would only work on the highest setting I needed to purchase a Blower Motor Resistor, which is correct for Pathfinders that have a manual A/C system however on my pathfinder that has the Automatic A/C it is a whole different set of problems. I had alot of problems finding the blower resistor on my pathy because it doesn't have one. Instead it is equipped with a Fan Control Amp. Nissan has known about problems with this system and have put out a bulletin for them that can be found on Nissanhelp.com. This bulletin has a .pdf page that explains the problem and has a part number for a Blower Motor and Fan Control Amp kit that can be purchased through Nissan. After i received this kit and installed the parts that were included my problem was solved so to alleviate any confusion and problems for people in the future here is some help! 2001-2004 Pathfinder with Automatic A/C

ya, recycle that cat for sure they are almost worth their weight in gold i know in some places there are problems with people crawling under suvs and taller rigs with a battery sawzall and cutting them off to recycle them!!!!!

by pass module??? all i know is that it works great and i can watch videos in rush hour traffic

no it is not hard to read at all it has adjustable brightness, and you can adjust the tilt on the face to cut down on glare. There are very few instances when there is direct sunlight on it and you have move your head a little but other than that it is great. I especially like that it is not a flip up screen because that would cover the a/c controls and it looks more like a factory unit.

i have a kenwood in my 02 and it is freakin awesome! fits perfectly and is a great distraction in rush hour. Seriously well worth the money and i had a fold down screen put in the back for when i am haulin other people around.

Okay i hate to beat a dead horse but i bought a new blower motor resistor from my local dealership, and have also gotten a manual to try and located the old one to swap them out. Everything i have seen shows the resistor right behind the glove box but i can not find it any one know a specific location on an 02 that would be different than that. I really dont want to just start ripping stuff out that I dont have to! ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT

would those 2" spacers fit on an 02 pathfinder i have seen some r50s that have had spacers, but everyone says they are custom made? just wondering if is a generic enough part that it would fit?

I am putting new rotors on my 02 Pathy and was wondering what i would have to deal with when i remove the auto locking hubs cuz it looks like i have to take off all that stuff to get the old rotor off any ideas? THANX

The blower motor on my 02 pathy has for some odd reason will not turn off or blow any less than full blast. i can push the off button on my heater but nothing happens, and when i try to turn the motor down it still doesn't do anything. Any ideas. I have looked at fuses and relays they are both fine, and i am hesitating pulling they heather control out of my dash

When i bought my pathy the dealer told me i should have it serviced @ 105,000 miles. I just called to schedule the tune up and they told me that it would be $880 that is crazy. what has to be done and what should i really have a mechanic do?

i posted this topic less than a month ago to get info to convert my 02, and i was told that no one has done it and i would have to experiment. The only good info i got was that the 97 pathys had a disc brake option, and i would have to get a rear axle and see what i could come up with. I also thought that maybe an axle off of an exterra post 05 they are equiped with rear discs. Also maybe a maxima or somthin. GOOD LUCK

ya any info on this would be great my tan wheel is doin the same thing, it just isn't bad enough for me to do anything about, yet. That QX4 wheel with the wood grain would be awesome.

I have been paying more attention to rear brakes since i posted this and i have noticed that more and more cars and trucks have rear discs especially high end models. There must be something too them! I reading about older pathies and saw that they have a different rear diff. are the axels and stuff different too or could i just get a rear end from an older pathy with discs and steal some brackets and make it all work with some hard work? I would hate to buy a rear end set-up and find out they are not alike at all and will not work.

wow okay then it looks like there is a split decision here i just thought that discs would be cool in the back and wuz not really worried about it, but i might fit under that racing category by the way i drive in rush hour traffic on the freeway. I did also notice that the new xterras (2005-up) have the discs, and didn't know if there was a good reason for it or not. thanx for the info

I have an 02 pathy and want to swap out the drum brakes to disk brakes any ideas/suggestions? Info on the rear axle as to what other nissans would have stuff that would fit for an easy conversion or maybe a brake kit.

I just recently got the silverstar ultra bulbs and they make a world of difference. Like night and day for only 50 dollars!
