  1. no, i haven't thought about the valve guide seals. right now she's seems to be running better, the steam usually goes away after she's all warmed up. that's normal, but now, she's leaking oil like krazy. you know, my path is weird, when ever it gives me problems, well not really problems, inconvience, it seems to fix it's self right up and the problem never shows again.

  2.   The ride is a bit stiffer, yes. Do you want to really offroad your Nissan or do you want to drive it around parking lots and look tough? Personally, I can deal with a stiffer ride. It's not THAT bad.

You're not going to "snap" a t-bar from landing too hard. I've had stock bars on since I owned the Pathy and they have yet to "snap" or break or have anything happen to them...and I've jumped it flat to ground.

that's what i thought, i don't think i've ever heard of the t-bars breaking, i got the thicker ones because i didn't know that much about things like that, but now i do, whole different world. i would of put the coils on my self. i'm an idiot for paying for it to be done. however, i do like the stiff ride too. it's pretty cool.

  3. when i was planning on lifting my path, i just wanted to buy only the coils for the rear and crank the t-bars. when i was at a offroad shop to find out how much to put the rear coils in and crank the t-bars w/ allignment, this guy that had a hardbody told me that it's not a good idea to have the t-bars crank. because the t-bars are tighten, and if their tighten isn't the ride stiffer? and isn't there a chance where the t-bars might snap if you were to land hard enough? what i did, i ordered the 3inch lift kit from AC the UCA's and the coils. i also got thicker 27 or 28mm sway-a-way t-bars that are cranked but supposably stronger than the stock. no problems yet.

  4. i just recently put in the K&N replacement airfilter and boy it runs so much better, it used to bog, the acceleration totally sucked, but now, it kicks hiney. and the filter is about 50 bucks and installation is about 10secs. that's the easy route.

  5. hi again. does anyone know where i can get the little round thingy that holds the bulb onto the headlamp. i don't know the name exactly but my headlamp bulb went out so when i was going to replace it, the little plastic thing that you have to turn to get the bulb out broke. if anyone knows where i can get one please let meknow.

  6. it's been a few days now and i've check my oil, it's good, my tranny oil is good as well as my coolant. maybe it's just steam and i was just exagerating(spell) thinking it's something else.

the tranny oil undernieth the truck, it's fine now it's all, well, not dryed up but it's not wet anymore. you guys menchined that it might of been power steering fluid becaue of the color, makes sense but the level is fine on that one as well. weird. just weird. hey but i gotta love it. i don't think i'll be taking it 4wheeling anymore until i get a new truck(a dodge), my only transportation, dont' wanna risk breaking it and being w/ out a vehicle.

  7. the oil is red, it has to be the transmission, because i only two things that it could be, tranny and engine, i wish i had a t-case. but, no it wasn't wet before i headed out to the mountains, i might go underneith her and check out it, spend some time and see where it's comming from i'm guess it's some seal that went out on me.

regarding the smoke from the exhaust, the smoke goes out about three feet and then goes away. i'm hoping it's steam, but today it couldn't be steam. it was like 70 degrees out.

  8. hey man, i'm sorry to hear that. but what maritime was saying about getting it salvage. well you can do that. the ins. usually sends it out to a salvage car auction like copart. but how bad is the damage and is it worth buying it back and fixing it, remember that salvage cars or truck usually go for 30% of what the cars worth. so the cost of the truck and parts and maybe labor(if your going to do it yourself or have someone else do it) might be cheaper if you just let her go and get a new one. anyway, sorry to hear the loss of your pathy, i'd cry like forever. good luck buddy.

  9. well. in the morning or when ever i start my path up i have white smoke comming out of the exhaust pipe. i know that in the morning gets cold but after 10-15 mins , shouldn't it go away. this morning when i started her up, i had white/blueish smoke comming out, thought it could of been from the cold. so i tried my moms car and nothing was comming out her exhaust pipe? could it be a seal or something. oh yeah another thing, i drove about 165miles yesterday to the mountains round trip, when first got there, i noticed that my rear-end is wet. so i bent over to look under neith her, i had tranny oil all under there. all over the crossmembers, the driveshaft, everywhere. what's that? please help, i'm starting to give up on her which i don't want to. :help:

too many problems: windsheild rattling, the tranny oil all underneith, the white smoke, manifolds. help

  10. yeah it can be done, i highly doubt it can be done in your driveway. if you do it you should do it at a bodyshop. my uncles have a bodyshop and we've changed frames on vehicles before, but i don't think it's financally worth it. if you want to do it, go to a junkyard and buy a whole truck to take the frame off and swamp it. ask around body shops they should be the only ones who will probably do it.

  11. see what i'm planning on doing is getting new heads instead of trying to extract to studs broken into the block. about a year ago my uncle and i tried to extract the bolts but really couldn't because of the engine compartment being so dang small. i don't know what the heck we did but when i left my uncle's house, that thing ran real good until three days later, that thing start to leak again. i'm pretty sure the holes(forgot the proper word for it) in the block are pretty messed up as it is. i'm just going to slap on some new head and headers. and see what happens from there. right now, i have two options, new heads w/ headers or locker. i'm picking heads w/ headers so later when i get the locker i can enjoy it with the loudness and power of a refreshed engine.

  12. i think you should work on the powerplant first. get the engine running at it's best. and then get the lift w/ big/nice tires. well, for me as an example, i got it lifted w/ 33s, lifted, yeah, but haven't done anything to the engine, my manifolds are wroped like krazy and the studs all broken in there. going to cost me alot of money to repair it, i'm probably going to have to get new heads. not bragging or anything, but, my truck is nice looking, but sound like crap and performance isn't there, i wish i should of worked on the engine first. now, i'm holding on to the 3inch body lift and lockers. without a good engine i can't enjoy the lockers and the lift. so think about it.

  13. yeah, you can fit 33x12.50 on a 15x7 wheels, no problems, the only thing is that the tire kind of bubbles out alittle, but no biggie i was told and no biggie has happened, no problems for me. i was also told that it's kinda better because it has better protection to the rim.

  14. i was told that after messing w/ you torsion bars it's a good idea to get the tires realigned. i know that if it's like a few turns of the bolt it won't do much, but before i got my lift. i had my torsion bars totally maxed out, and the tires were screwed up after about two months.

i have a 3inch suspension lift and i got to fit 33x12.50x15 on 15x7 wheels. i rubbed before, now my fenders are all bent and fixed (it's what i called it) it doesn't rub anymore while turing and even fourwheelin, (in my case it's 2wheelin) it only rubs when i'm flexing like crazy.

  15. anyone know where i can get new heads for real cheap. wanted to get headers but mechanic shop wanted $75 a bolt to extract because of the bolts braking in there. it might be cheaper to get new heads. thanx.

  16. hey man, congrads w/ the headers and happy bday, mine is on the 30th, and i'll be 20. bet ur going to have fun with your headers, i was getting a pair for mine but some a$$holes decide to break into my truck. anyway, i went to get an estimate for my installation for the headers, the guy basically said i need new heads so, we'll see what happens,

  17. i saw these headers on ebay: pace setter headers are these headers any good? if i get them will i have a problem installing them because of the bolts to the manifolds being busted? i know that i have few of the bolts broken into the block and a few years ago we tried to take the bolts out of the block but couldn't acutally take the bolts out, would this be a problem? :help: or do i just take the headers into a shop and tell them that the bolts are broken into the block and they'll do the rest?
