  1. Wow I am totally pissed, so I attempted to changed my knock sensor and my bloody pathfinder doesn't even have a knock sensor its just a freakin rusted hole! I took apart the whole intake manifold for nothing sweet... and there isn't even a cylinder head sensor just another rusted hole! k death to pathfinder.
  2. Okay so I grabbed a ECU from the scrap yard, off the same pathfinder and now the ECU is giving me a code and its code 35 I think the one to do with the detonation sensor, could this be the whole cause of my problem? Or is this ECU just storing an old code from the previous pathfinder?
  3. So I changed the o2 sensor with a brand new one same issue but its not as bad. Is it possible the timing belt is off? I guess that will be my next straw to grasp.....
  4. I didn't really smell anything but I took the cat off anyways lol noticed more power but same problem is occurring! And it seems like its starting to crap out faster and faster each day. i'll be driving at 50km when the problem is starting to happen and i'll floor it and it just gets loud but doesn't drive any faster.
  5. I haven't really noticed but i'll check it out. Should it stink bad even for the first time I start it or only after i've driven it and it starts to crap out?
  6. Well i'm definetly getting to the point of pushing my pathfinder off a cliff. This is the problem after hour of driving I turn off the ignition and turn it back on and boom thing sounds like crap! and the tac is vibrating like crazy and the exhaust is super loud. Sounds like its not firing correctly but it only happens once its at opperating temperature, and it doesn't go any faster then 10km/h. Replaced the MAF with a new one, brand new ECU temp sensor straight from the stealership, new cap checked every spark plug cable they all read fine, coil reads fine. checked the ECU for codes only gives me the normal opperating code. Havent tried replacing the o2 sensor but could that be the main problem of all this? Then once I let it sit for an hour or two its fine to drive till it warms up again.
  7. oh hahaha alright i'll try that.
  8. the spark plugs are firing perfect ign coil is perfect I checked them all with a meter. could it possibly be the o2 sensor or my ECU is just crap? starting to get frustrated...
  9. Okay changed Temp sensor problem still exists. removed the o2 sensor from the pipe and drove it problem is still there. where's the cylinder sensor located???
  10. I changed my ECU temp sensor and I thought it fixed it but it just prolonged the time for me to notice the sluggish acceleration and loss of power. I tried searching for the 14 miles thread I couldn't seem to find it... I'll also try to figure out this ECU. Possibly the cylinder head sensor? hmmm I'll look into that.
  11. Alright i'll change the ECU sensor I have another one kicking around. I tried running the codes and I got what I said in my last post^^^. Also my fuel burns like a mother! Full tank lasts me under a week and remember I can only drive 30-45min at a time!
  12. Its an automatic. I tried running the ECU codes either I dont know how to work this thing or its broken lol. I turned the key on. turned the little slotted screw fully clockwise waited five seconds turned it fully counter didnt blink at all.... then i turned it back, and both LEDs blink twice pause then three times then three times again. So maybe its not giving me any codes or unless those are codes?
  13. Okay I have a 1995 Pathfinder XE 4x4 355,000km. This is my problem I start my truck and everything works fine with lots of power, after 30min of driving it starts having a lot of engine hesitation and is very sluggish, it feels like its not getting enough fuel or air. I°ll floor the accelarator and it will max out at 10kmh with no power thats when people start honking at me... After I let my truck sit for an hour or two then it works again and then the same problem occurs. My air filter is brand new, changed my MAF sensor, new fuel filter, PCV valve works, EGR valve works, new distributor cap. I cant find the problem could it possibly be my crank angle sensor? Or maybe my fuel pump? once it starts heating up it starts to fail? Any help would be greatly appriciated.
  14. It just sucks for me because thats the range of speed I go to work at everyday. I found out today if I let go of the gas at the speed the gritty feeling goes away, and If I idle at 120km/h the feeling eventually goes away but I'm almost home by then lol
  15. I don't feel it in the steering wheel I can feel it on the floor I really think its coming from the engine. I had all four tires replaced and balanced and even with the old tires the rough feeling was still there. Couldn't tell you with the tach needle was shaking my tach is broken.
  16. all that stuff is good and it only happens when I hit 120, once i go over 125km it goes away and I've hit up to 140 and there's no vibrating.
  17. 120km/h is about 74 miles. No lights come on just feels rough and I can feel it vibrating the accelerator pedal and even if I have a passenger they can feel it also.
  18. When ever I drive between the speed of 120-125km/h my engine feels really rough and gritty but anything before this or after this speed it feels fine.
  19. Thanx for your reply Teknogaeque and Doughboy. I had to get my pathy towed to a shop and the mechanic didn't look at it for about 2 days so it sat in a warm garage for the 2 days and the mechanic put the key in it and it started up right away and he said he checked all the wiring and said everything was good so I had a 80$ bill for a connection check that I already did and every connection was good I also called the dealership and told him about my problem and he said "bad solenoid on the starter, the cold weather is stopping it from starting" and mentioned nothing about an Inhibitor Relay. Now if its the Inhibitor Relay is it possible that cold weather can effect it? because its been dropping down to -15C lately. And is this the part your speaking of? http://www.courtesyparts.com/Merchant2/mer...ode=25230-89981 I'll give it a shot and fire a new one in there, hopefully this will fix the problem. I'll also replace the fusible links.
  20. Does anyone have any ideas, is it just a bad starter because the starter isn't even a month old which is stupid.
  21. Okay my problem is back, and now I have ruled out the battery. It must of been a coincidence when I put a new battery in there last time and it fired up because I have a new battery in there and now its not starting up and I put my old battery in a different vehicle and it starts. Two months ago I installed a new starter and everything worked fine. Every time I turn the key to start it the starter makes a single clicking sound I checked the connection to the starter and the cables are fine, does this mean that the starter is getting power but its not releasing it through the negative wire? I also have a remote starter installed could this possible be the problem? I don't want to replace my starter again, its winter here and my garage is cold :(
  22. So it could possible be a poor connection to where the cables connect to the battery posts?
  23. well I got my pathy into a garage and warmed it up, I just want to make sure its the battery not anything else. Because cold shouldn't effect the battery enless its very cold out.
  24. Maybe someone can give me some input on how this happened? I was driving my 1995 pathfinder for a whole day and then parked it at night and tried starting it the next morning (it had to of been -15C at most that night) I turned the key and it wouldn’t start but I was getting a single clicking sound coming from the starter (I also have a brand new starter so I swear it couldn't of been the starter). So I thought maybe it was my battery so I turned on all my electronics in the car, heat, high beams, and wipers. The heat didn't turn on until I tried giving it a boost, but still no go with the boost. So I grabbed a new battery from a different vehicle strapped that in my pathy and surprisingly enough it came to life, so it must have had a dead battery. Well because I like to make sure of things I thought I should put my old battery back in to see if it wouldn't start. so I did that and here's the weird part it did start and I'm running on my old battery right now and it seems that my pathy is working fine, what the hell could it of been?!?
  25. Mine's a 95 to, how much will you sell your tach for?
