  1. Really appreciate it man. Good to know only one of those belonged on the alternator. the long bolt, which I was supposed to use that L bracket on, I just used a random nut that was in my parts trey that fit, so I’m hoping that works… I’m sure that nut belonged to one of the pulleys I removed and now I get to take a trip to the parts store tomorrow. I’m kicking myself right now, good chance that random little nut I used (which was one of the most aneurism inducing things I’ve ever done) is going to be a major pain next time I have to remove it. That L bracket looks easier to get a wrench on compared to the nut I used. I was upside down head first in my engine bay ratcheting the front of the long bolt and holding a wrench on the other side, felt like I had my hand in a meat grinder.
  2. Photos of brackets I think these go on the 2 bolts that hold the alternator in place. The long one up top and the small bolt at the bottom. I actually got it in without using these pieces and it seemed to be sitting in the right position but I’m not sure. I’m ASSUMING these were for my alternator. anyone recognize these little pieces? I’d rather die than remove and reinstall this horrid alternator again. Hoping I can get away with not using those pieces. My new alternator is also a different model.
  3. Appreciate the info man, time to try tackling the issue again. Might go the route of wiring it to the battery.
  4. Brother in law plugged in an air compressor into it and it blew. I replaced the socket itself with a new one (aftermarket usb ported one) and it’s not working. I checked the fuse and the fuse seems to be fine and working. I wired in the new after market socket myself, but I don’t think I made an errors, because for good measure I put the old socket back in after swapping the fuse and it still didn’t work. note: my 01 Le only has 1 fuse labeled for the cig lighter power socket. Other models have 2 fuse locations, but where the second one is typically, mine is blank and has no fuse inserted. I think it’s unlikely I fried a wire, but it’s possible. Is there any other components related to the cig lighter that could cause this issue? Where do I look to continue trouble shooting? If it is a wire, where does the wire connect to? should I just say F it and wire it directly to my battery? Not crazy about that idea cause then I won’t have a fuse.
  5. I have a 01 LE I got February 2020 at 154k miles and now at 182k and still running strong, but somehow I’ve gone this long without doing any real mods to it. I’m a little nervous dumping money into it given I’ve absolutely tortured the rig off road, but it still hasn’t skipped a beat and I think now is the time to build it up. My plan is: -AC 2” front and back lift springs -Professional fender trim -Front Lokka -Tire upgrade (big KO2s or something) -skid plates -possibly high clearance bumpers -front manual lock hubs My question is if this is a solid enough plan and if I need to take other things into consideration. Specifically if I should also upgrade shocks/struts or maybe should look into non OeM wheels so I don’t run into tire fitment issues. All advice is welcome, and I’m always looking for other ideas and maybe info on if my mod list is worth it. Just want a solid reliable and capable rig. Just want to conquer deep snow and hellish mud on my journeys. Not building a rock crawler or anything. I think my days of slamming it through mud pits at 40 mph are over.
  6. Stupid question but I’m a little confused on some of the buttons, and the lowest temperature I can get blowing is 65 which seems high. Air never blows that cold. What buttons do I press to actually get the coldest air blowing? Dumb question but thanks in advance
