  1. Cleaned it out per the attached thread, airflow seems much better. Looks like the evaporator was pretty plugged up with crap too. Thanks guys!
  2. I just replaced the belt in my 92. If I rememeber correctly, the tensioner spring was above the stud. Mine also whines a bit, but has gotten better with the first 100 miles or so I've driven it. Good luck with it! Chris
  3. If the crank pulley isn't turning, it isn't the timing belt. The crank pulley should turn anytime the engine turns. If the starter sounds like its turning the engine, the problem is probably between the starter and the engine = the driveplate. Chris
  4. Yes, I believe it is. AC compressor is quiet and the air is cold.
  5. 92 Pathfinder. Has the climate control panel. When the blower motor is on full blast (setting 3) or Auto (on a hot day, that is setting 3), it seems the motor sounds like its working just fine. The airflow out of the vents seems weak, though. Doesn't sound like the motor is bad, just loud for the amount of air its pushing. Makes it take a long time to cool down, and with temperatures out here over 100F every day during the summer it's not enough. Any obvious suggestions or things to check? By the way, no real change whether its on recirculate or fresh air. Thanks, Chris
  6. My 92 Pathfinder runs great, but it seems sluggish with the AC on. Does anyone else experience this? I'm not expecting the truck to be a powerhouse, it does have 165k on it. I have changed the plugs, cap, rotor, filters, etc. Any help would be appreciated. Chris
  7. I am going to pull the engine anyway, that way I can tackle everything at once. My plans are to replace the following while it's out: Front and rear crank seals Camshaft seals timing belt oil pan gasket valve cover gaskets exhaust manifolds and gaskets intake gasket oil pan plug gasket spark plugs disty cap rotor egr gaskets (cleaned EGR, seems ok) air filter oil filter PCV valve Any other suggestions? Chris
  8. Thanks Fueler for copying this from the NICO forum. Any responses to this post should be replied to me, since I am a member now. Thanks, Chris
