  1. Anyone have a pic of some warns w/ the 17x7 5 spoke 02 le wheel? Ive read the center needs to be widened or some lip gorund to fit which im fine w/ replacing stock chrome deals on my 97, already have warns...not buying the rims i want until I can see it in real life. Thanks in advance.
  2. Guys, I work in parts research and we've had some questions from customers on valve cover grommets and spark plug tube seals...specifically our R50's Nissans EPC says both 01-02 r50's use grommets and tube seals, 03-04 dont... Valve cover OE's change for 01 Do the 02's still use grommets and tube seals/is there a relation to the 2001.5 deal w/ the redesigned coils?? One of you's gotta know the deal. Any helps appreciated.
  3. Anyone got the 17x8's on w/o flares? Looking @ a set for my xe w/ the stock 245/65's Trying to see how far they'll stick out. Thx guys
  4. Anyone know what the difference is, physically, between the two racks offered for our trucks fender flares or not, I know...I'm just curious since the inners, outers, bellows, press hose, return hose and mounting bushings, even the pump are all the same...regardless of flares. r50's w/ flares had the larger wheel/tire options for their given years...turning ratio? innerds different/stronger to turn the larger stock wheels n tires? anyone know?
  5. Thought so, talk about a small world! U ever need anything for the truck let me know. I'm the asst. manager of the Autopart International in Norristown .
  6. Lol!! Nah it's just nice to know theres people on the forum so close to home
  7. lol, I was driving my sentra so all I could see was the hitch and some nice tires. I could see it being the truck your standing in in your profile pic. Charcoal, silver, grey...it was dark. Rear window got 3 generations of NPORA stickers in it and one for Paragon?
  8. Things covered in NPORA stuff. Followed it home from work tonight down Pawlings Rd. from the Norristown area. Just wanted to say whats up. My names Will, live in Phoenixville.
  9. hey guys I feel like a dumb ass. I was doing my valve covers...started w/the driver side PITA the fel-pro set I got came w/ new grommets The old set I removed looked like they had metal bottoms or something. My dumb ass never thought the metal part was removable so when I reinstalled with the new grommets I just used them, no metal trays on the driver side got it all back together and was cleaning up...dropped one of the old grommets and the metal part on the bottom popped off first thought...@!*%! should I have used them with the new grommets?? buddy who works @ a shop said I should have...u guys concur? thanks :-(
  10. Did you loosen the bearing locknut @ any point during the strut/cv boot install?
  11. Had a good look last night, sure looks like the valve covers; Read about the screws coming loose...they sure were a bit. 2 Questions; Should I still run full synthetic? or am I just asking for more leaks Read about overfilling...is there really that much difference between 3 7/8 and 4?
  12. Need some opinions; It's a 97 w/ 60k. Switched to full syntheic @ 47k, mobil 1 5w30 and a quart of synthetic lucas For a few months now, after parking and walking away, I've been smelling oil. Not all burnt and smoking but that hot used oil smell. recently noticed a few quarter sized drops where I park every day, so I climed my pudgey ass underneeth only to find a little drip on the bottom of the bell housing right where it meets the motor First thouhghts = rear main The fact that I can smell it makes me think it's leaking from somewhere higher up and getting near the exhaust. Valve covers, hopefully?? Most of the stuff I found searching was for the 3.0; Where else do these 3.3's leak from? What would you all do? thicker oil, a blend, some of that leak dye stuff? Any advice is greatly appreciated
  13. Already gave it a good pull, dont want to brake it these just pop out right?
  14. I Have a 97 w/ 55k, auto trans Pretty sure the fluid and filter are original, and it needs a flush, but I still think I've got more going on Mainly its the shift from first to second and occasionally second to third 1 to 2 you'd think it had a shift kit in it. It absolutely wacks second gear. Doesn't slip, doesn't make any horrible sounds, just nails second, even at slow speeds 2 to 3 is usually pretty smooth, but can also be a bit abrupt sometimes. Noises I've heard; park to reverse = occasional "clunk" 3 to 4 at slower speeds, especially downhill = that noise most automatic trucks make when they upshift @ slow speeds...im sure you guys know what I mean 3 to 4 under acceleration = the occasional soft click or tick that always sounds like its coming from the front passenger side Theres no visible play in any of the u-joints, front or rear. Tranny mount even looks to be in good shape I've read all about the problems we have with our rear upper control arm bushings and think they may be contributing This weekend or next I'm gonna service the trans; filter, fluid, and a quart of lucas Bought a tranny mount just in case, not sure if I need it though What do you guys think?? Thanks, Will
  15. I've got a set of Raybestos ceramic pads #PGD691C on the front end of my 97 and love them Absolute slightest squeal first stop or two in the morning, like most ceramics, but other then that their great
