  1. I know it's not what you're looking at but I will never buy anything but duratracs for my Pathy again, they're fantastic in literally every situation. AT-like pattern in the middle with thicker MT-like blocks on the outside all with good siping. They also have ridges between all the tread blocks as well for extra grippiness (I guess?). Regardless, this makes them super quiet (for a MT) and get really decent gas mileage, and they do well in all terrains. Great at clearing thick mud and snow, but also good for packed snow in town because of their siping, and the softer rubber they use doesn't harden up when it gets cold out which makes a huge difference for winter driving.

I’m actually in the middle of an experiment right now for my front springs. I’ve been scouring websites that supply custom parts for race cars because they have a ton of options for people who are building their own suspension components. I settled on a spring with a 250 lb rate and a free height of 13 inches. 250 puts it in between the OME and AC coils which is what I’m looking for. I chose the 13 inch spring height ( 3 inches shorter than the OME hd) because I’m pairing them with an adjustable height spring spacer (similar to the way a coil over sleeve works) that I plan to adapt to the lower spring perch on the strut. If it all comes together as planned the adjustable lower perch will let me dial in my front ride height exactly where I want it. Total cost so far is $145 for the springs and spacers. Hopefully I’ll get time to work on it next weekend and I’ll update with results then.

That sounds pretty rad, you'll have to let us know how it goes once you get them in. I've seen one ifs r50 use coilovers adapted to attach to the steering knuckle like the stock struts do. I can't remember where I saw it but its definitely interesting

FaceBook is the Wild West, beware! I stopped following that a while ago. It’s definitely a different crowd.

Agreed, that group was the reason I deleted my facebook account. Everytime I'd go on I'd just get super annoyed with incorrect information and people who think they're God. And I wouldn't get a sfd from there either, as there are incorrect specs floating around which could be annoying to align best case and dangerous in the worst case

The Pathfinder emblem is in the wrong spot?

YES!! It's driving me nuts. I don't know how or why it ended up there but it's stuck on with what looks to be the original adhesive and it's been there for a long time judging by the paint around it. And there's no sign on the paint that I can find to indicate that it was even in the correct spot

  5. I noticed something very strange about the tan Pathfinder today. Look very closely at both pictures and see if any of you guys notice what I did.

Pay close attention to the way everything lines up across the whole back. Who can spot it? Any guesses?

I am definitely interested in the instal process. I've had a set of these sitting in my garage for months now and haven't gotten around to figuring out how to wire them up yet

Cool you found a donor.  What's wrong with it that you got it so cheap?

It needs new trailing arm bushings, the driver seat has a rip in it, the passenger side window won't go down, and the dash had two spots that the vinyl was starting to peel up, which I fixed by putting stickers on it. Mechanically the car is absolutely great and has tons of new parts, it was honestly just a really good deal.

32's, and not quite. It's settled quite a bit and idk exactly how many inches its at. LR 9447's in the back and ome hd's up front. The bumpers make it look taller than it actually is

Yeah, I think the supply of WD21 carriers outstrips the need & the plate relocators don’t fit the facelifted R50s. If storage space is limited then it’s tough to justify the big carriers.@MicahFelker are you interested?

Eh, not really. If I wanted a carrier I'd build one onto my bumper, but honestly I like how the rear end of mine looks without anything blocking it.
