  1. alright so looks like im going with manual hubs do you guys recommend warn over mile marker? and thanks for the help!
  2. exactly. it took some time to line up the bolts on the new rack but nothing ridiculous and you are going to have to ditch the old sunroof visor unless you dont want the new faring on the new rack
  3. Alright so i really want to take on a new hub but im torn between manual hubs or auto. got a couple of questions: 1. Is it only the auto hub from a 2000 or 2001 xterra that will fit? or up to 2004? 2. the xterra hubs seem to have bolts instead of studs, will the thread pattern fit the holes for the studs? basically is it a bolt on project? 3. is it worth going for the xterra hubs instead or warn locking hubs? i would get new warn hubs which i hear a good quality but that means i have to get out of the car all the time to engage 4wd. with the xterra hub i would probably get them from a junk yard which means they got some use and are they more prone to break? but the benefit is i dont have to get out to engage them. 4. are there any other auto hubs to look into? 5. is it harder to install auto hubs? still a newbie to cars, hence all the questions but i appreciate any help. thanks
  4. sorry i dont know the part number. im in NY so i was calling the few junk yards we have on a weekly basis. Took about a year of calling but i got it finally! its basically the stock roof rack from an SE pathfinder 02,03, and 04 yes the bolt holes line up exactly. all i did was remove the front and rear stoppers (not sure technical name) on the track, slid out the old cross bars, then bolted the new rack with the old track still in place. hard to explain in words but if you want i could take pictures and show you. let me know
  5. Looks good so far. i have the exact same one, color and all (that is before you plasti dipped it). i added the 02-04 SE oem roof rack, thought it looked good, you might too whats the big 3?
  6. alright cool thanks everyone!
  7. ok so this is what i see so i put wd40 on this (you can see the sheen on it) and also on both hinges it helped for the most part but its still harder to close than the other doors (not a big deal anymore but anything else i can do? can i spray wd40 where the white arrow points inside or are there wires in there so i shouldnt? and the red circled bolts can i take out the assembly and spray it? or do i have to take out the whole door panel? Thanks for the help guys i know its a lot on such a small stupid thing.
  8. ok cool. the door is still lined up good with the body. what is the pin/bushing on the door? sorry im not the best with all these terms still trying to learn but thanks for the reply appreciate it!
  9. yes im pretty sure they have the same bolt pattern but if you put a bigger tire it may rub on the 03
  10. Alright so first actual post here. I did search this but couldn't find anything. So my passenger door is really difficult to close. anyone that uses it complains that its too heavy to close. i figured i would spray some wd40 on it but there is a wire harness running close to the hinge so i just want to make sure i dont screw up any of the electrical stuff in the door. also should i lubricate the hinge or the black track looking plastic piece that slides into the door. Thanks guys!
  11. i got a custom cat back 2.25 inch with a "knock-off" magnaflow but wow did it drone at highway speeds. I couldnt take it after 2 days so i went back to the shop and had them put on a quieter oem replica and now im happy. it has a nice tone when you rev it but doesnt drone btw. i got mine done behind Citi field in NY if any of you are familiar with all those shops back there. i got the whole thing done with the switch of mufflers for under $200. and i still got a barely used "magnaflow" muffler with like 50 miles on it, if anyone is interested
