I was coming home from work in the still snow covered slow lane when I see buddy ahead shoveling his driveway right at the curb lane edge. Victor, being a considerate person, says to himself, "I will change lanes and NOT blow slush all over dude shoveling his driveway entrance"...GREAT idea in theory. So I get about 2/3rds the way into the center lane (which IS plowed) & the back end starts getting a little squirrelly. I try to correct, w/no success and the back left bumper kis...

I have some sad news to share...After 16 years of loyal service, Marvin is no more. The last dump of snow brought his life w/me to an sudden & irreparable end-Note to all: keep your toys away from large concrete lane dividers!! The only good news was the fact that ICBC gave me $4200 for him bc I had an ARB Sierra front bumper.

Bought complete rear end assy, cat back exhast & carpet for $450Can and a virtually mint, complete leather interior off of CL for $130. I got the rear end, exhaust replaced and old interior gutted AND completely cleaned (OMG, I have NEVER seen a stripped interior that NASTY!-It took 2 evenings, Mr Clean in screaming hot water, a scrub brush and a wet/dry shop vac to purge it from it's frightening condition)in Goldy. More to come...

Starting to hunt down basic req'd parts to get it drivable. Rear diff, muffler, plugs, fuel filter, etc. Having top 5 counterman at large autoparts supplies as a good friend: PRICELESS!

Bought a '02 yesterday....paid $1K. It needs a new rear end(pass axle/wheel assy hanging out a foot). And a few othrr things too but the body is great, motor seems strong. It's got a touchscreen Alpine stereo. Perfect for my needs for a temporary vehicle while Marvin gets all the upgrades he deserves. Will be doing a build thread for Marvin. Wish me success.

A good day, Sunday was. Hit the local swap by 7:30, back home by 10:30. Oil change, sway bar end linx. 12:30; Hotdogs for charge up. Back brakes rest of day...find broken spring, drvrs side...lose horse shoe retaining clip, sigh and had to make one out of a washer. I overcame!! NO more rattley front end and a 2 click, E brake, WOO WOO. It's a start and keeps me motivated to do more
