  1. UPDATE: I have ordered the coil spacers and 16" Soft 8 rims. Only thing left is the tires. Going with 265/75/16, just need to figure out which ones. Again re-treads are fine... I've put 11k miles on the pathy over the span of almost 2 years so I'm not too worried about it . Both M/T and A/T are options. I know it's not recommended on a DD in the city but I'm a sucker for that M/T tread. If anyone has any suggestions for under $500 I'm all ears.
  2. I'm in Omaha.. I have yet to cross a lifted R50 over here. Nice to see a fellow 'sker on the forums
  3. Probably going to go with the 16" rims... still uncertain about the tires though. I've done plenty research, but I can't find anything specific enough to ease my mind. With 2" coil spacers, could I safely run the 32"s? Wouldn't trust myself with having to trim and mess with the fenders and what not
  4. Forums won't let me edit the post... should have proofread better. THESE are the options: 15" Pro Comp Rock Crawlers Series 97- http://www.4wheelparts.com/Wheels/Series-97-15x8-with-5-on-4-5-Bolt-Pattern-Gloss-Black.aspx?t_c=11&t_s=209&t_pt=100021&t_pn=pcw97-5865&utm_source=google&utm_medium=froogle&utm_campaign=product&emlprox=out&ppcfon=1&gclid=CP-1iKmGrLwCFVFk7AodvDEAAA with 31/10.5/R15 Guard Dog's - https://www.treadwright.com/p-117-31x10-50r15-guard-dog-m-t-b2b-c.aspx OR 16" Summit Racing 85 Black Series- http://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-85-6883/overview/ with 265/75/R16 Guard Dog's - https://www.treadwright.com/p-71-265-75r16-guard-dog-m-t-c.aspx or 285/75/R16 Guard Dog's - https://www.treadwright.com/p-55-285-75r16-guard-dog-m-t-d-non-b2b-clearance-item.aspx (NO LIFT OPTION) 15" Pro Comp Rock Crawlers Series 97- http://www.4wheelparts.com/Wheels/Series-97-15x8-with-5-on-4-5-Bolt-Pattern-Gloss-Black.aspx?t_c=11&t_s=209&t_pt=100021&t_pn=pcw97-5865&utm_source=google&utm_medium=froogle&utm_campaign=product&emlprox=out&ppcfon=1&gclid=CP-1iKmGrLwCFVFk7AodvDEAAA with 30/9.5/R15- https://www.treadwright.com/p-6-30-9-50r15-puma-c.aspx I found 2" coil spacers that would run me about $140. Any input would be appreciated, as I have very little experience dealing with suspension and rubbing issues. Thanks!
  5. Hey all- I've done some serious thinking over the past few weeks and I need a project. Something to keep me busy. I actually had a trade lined up for a 6" lifted YJ Wrangler.. unfortunately it fell through, but it sparked a certain interest me. I've been exploring the option of installing coil spacers, throwing on some black steel rims, along with some big ol' tires. But, I don't have a lot of cash to throw in. I was thinking of selling certain things off of the Pathy (OEM 17" LE's, running boards, cargo cover, etc.) to bring some cash in. So here's my question: is all of it reasonable? I haven't found an R50 classifieds forum that brings a good audience, so that's a worry. Also just wanted to make sure I wouldn't have any troubles with the lift/tires rubbing. Yes they're treadwright tires, but it's semi-cheap and my buddies have had great experiences with them. Here's what I have been looking at: Rims: 15" Pro Comp Rock Crawlers Series 97- http://www.4wheelparts.com/Wheels/Series-97-15x8-with-5-on-4-5-Bolt-Pattern-Gloss-Black.aspx?t_c=11&t_s=209&t_pt=100021&t_pn=pcw97-5865&utm_source=google&utm_medium=froogle&utm_campaign=product&emlprox=out&ppcfon=1&gclid=CP-1iKmGrLwCFVFk7AodvDEAAA ~Paired with~ 31/10.5/R15 Guard Dog's - https://www.treadwright.com/p-117-31x10-50r15-guard-dog-m-t-b2b-c.aspx OR 16" Summit Racing 85 Black Series- http://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-85-6883/overview/ ~Paired with~ 265/75/R16 Guard Dog's - https://www.treadwright.com/p-71-265-75r16-guard-dog-m-t-c.aspx OR 285/75/R16 Guard Dog's - https://www.treadwright.com/p-55-285-75r16-guard-dog-m-t-d-non-b2b-clearance-item.aspx I found 2" coil spacers that would run me about $140. 6. Since you have yellow fogs, the amber stock corners don't stand out. If you get bored enough then hey give 'em a shot, it would definitely look good.
  7. Got them on eBay within a month of getting the car. Listed as $35 now... rather steep for my liking. Especially since I only need the passenger side lamp.
  8. I was driving around in a semi-heavy snowfall yesterday and I didn't run into any problems. As you probably know, the stock headlights aren't very impressive. Most definitely an upgrade in visibility and appearance.
  9. Received my 8000k HIDS from Xentec yesterday, and installed them in about one hour. One very brutal hour. Managed to crack some plastic off of one of my clear corners (some component in the corner managed to get jammed in its receptor in the car), and is now being held to the car via two velcro strips. Good times. I'll probably just end up replacing the broken light with another clear corner. But, I am very pleased with the outcome. Looks incredibly mean. Paired with the silver paint and plasti-dipped grill... auuuugh . Pics below, but as you know, it's pretty difficult to capture the HIDs true look on camera.
  10. No way! I found yours on Instagram a couple months ago. I'm pretty sure I asked about your plasti-dip experience and fogs, can't remember exactly. That picture is saved on my computer as "Pathy Motivation", so thank you for that
  11. Hey all- finally decided to check out the R50 forum life. I've had my '02 LE for a little over 1 1/2 years; it's my first car and a great one at that. Had 147k on the dash. Haven't done too much to it- clear corners, plasti-dipped grill, debadged the rear lower emblems, plasti-dipped the remaining rear emblems, nothing too big. I have 8000k HIDs coming my way as we speak, and I'm looking at plasti-dipping the wheels soon. Not looking to dump too much cash in it, but if you guys have suggestions for me, let's hear them! Can't figure out how to attach pics so I'll just put a link in to my album online; http://www.flickr.com/photos/115857443@N02/
