The Newly Lifted Pathfinder
SpeedyGreeney replied to SpeedyGreeney's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
Well, I have some sad news. The Pathfinder is gone. Took a straight trade for a beautiful E46 coupe, one I just couldn't pass up. I WILL be owning another Pathfinder in my lifetime, so I'll be back. Thank you for passing on your knowledge, opinions, and advice. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Well I am lost. Removed all heat shields, still have a rattle. Seems to be coming from the front. Video of it is attached. http://youtu.be/OUFDdvioHNc Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If someone could post a picture of what I should be looking for, that would be great. Never messed around with the exhaust and I don't want to mess anything up. Thanks

Hey guys, I've had a rattling noise at low RPMs (while driving) for a while and I'm 99% sure it's a heat shield causing it from other people's diagnosis and symptoms. I'm not quite sure what to be looking for, so any pictures, testimonies, or pieces of advice are welcome. Thanks!

Yep, retread M/T's will do that to ya. Plasti-dipping the weights made the wheels bearable to look at. But yes they're exactly like Soft 8's, they just saved me some cash -

That would just be the pictures. With the 2.5" in back and 2" in front, it levels out very nicely. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
After much delay, I am happy to report that Fleury's spacers and the new wheels have been installed on my R50. Very pleased with the result. The new setup: Stock Springs Fleury's spacers (2" front, 2.5" rear) 16" black steel rims 265/75/16 M/T retreads (BFG A/T casings) NOTE: My 17" LE rims will be for sale... contact me if you're interested. I'll try and post an ad in the classifieds sometime in the near future.

Hey guys- I finally have some time to put my lift and wheels on, but I've run into some problems. I started with the front passenger side yesterday. The bolts on top of the strut were an absolute PITA to get off, but I eventually did succeed. But the bolts that connect the strut to the knuckle will not budge. After 40 minutes of effort, I simply gave up. It's clear that they haven't been touched in 12 years. Anyways, I'm in desperate need of help. If anyone has done it themselves, please throw your input in. Also- bolts on top of the front driver's side strut are in some seriously difficult areas... I'd love some suggestions on how to get those out too. Thanks so much! If pics help I'll be happy to post some.

TheAustinHenry's Build Thread

That bull bar setup looks mean. I'll cast my vote for that one -
Can anyone tell me what inlet dimensions we have? That'd be pretty helpful in my search hahaha
-
What are the inlet/outlet dimensions on it? I know you have an exhaust video you'd love to show me
-
I'd prefer a thrush muffler as it's cheap for a decent tone... if anyone has experience with that.
-
Hey all. Looking at throwing on a different muffler for a better sound. I am ballin' on a budget but luckily I have a buddy who's been working on and welding exhaust components for years. I've searched and I haven't really found a solid/reliable answer on here. So I was just wondering what dimensions I'd be looking for. I know it's a dual in single out but not sure about the exact dimensions. I'd rather get a compatible muffler than have to deal with a y-pipe. All help is appreciated!

My first step of action would be selling me that grill guard No but in all seriousness that is one clean Pathy. There are plenty of small lift options as I'm sure you know by scanning the forum. I have some 16" steelies on 32" M/T's that I'm throwing on this weekend. Keep an eye out! Welcome.

I'm still waiting to find time to install my lift/wheels, and I've been getting a tad bit antsy. I hit up the junkyard yesterday and saw a 95 4Runner with tail light guards and I absolutely LOVED them. I've also been contemplating smoking out my tails- not pitch black; light but noticeable. I've seen pics of tinted tails but nothing has made me truly love them. So, can anyone throw in some insight/advice/pics about either of those two mods?

I'm not at home at the moment but I did my best to estimate some dimensions and weights... ranged from $120-160. Again that's just an estimate.
-
They'll be up for grabs after the install
-
Welcome! There's plenty of lift options, it really depends how much you're willing to dish out. I'm ballin' on a budget so I went with 2" coil spacers with re-tread 32"s. If you check out this link --> (http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/19867-max-tire-size-vs-lift-kit-used-vs-custom-or-oe-wheels/) you'll get to see some different stances and setups. Best of luck to ya!
-
Definitely my next step of action. On a few of the wheels, the weights took up almost half of the damn rim!!
-
Progress has been made Rims, tires, and coil spacers are in. Just need to borrow my buddy's floor jack and spring compressors and put everything together. I also jacked up the car and test fitted the rims... mud flaps are going to have to come off to prevent some rubbing. Plasti-dipped the center caps matte black... don't really like it, I'll be taking it off.
-
Backspacing on the rims are 3.975. If the 32"s with the 2 inch coil spacers don't look too ridiculous, I'm willing to invest in some 1.5" wheel spacers for the fronts.
