  1. Hi guys I need some advise again. I just received my new idler arm for my 91 Pathfinder SE,and it is so tight I can hardly turn the arm by hand, Even if I loosen the bolt on the bottom, it looks like the bushings are pressed in there, Is this normal for a new Idler arm? Thanks Bingomech
  2. Nissanland : When taking apart the auto hubs after the C clip there are 2 washers then the B brake, are the 2 washers removed along with the B brake also? then install the new manual hub then C clip no washers anymore? is that right? Thanks, Bingomech
  3. Can anyone tell me whats involved in changing over from autolock hubs to manual locking hubs, is this something i can do at home? Also where can i get information on how to do this conversion on my 91 Pathfinder. Thanks Bingomech
  4. A while ago I had the same problem on another one of my cars like it was starving for air & lotta black smoke out of the exhaust.A friend told me to check the PCV valve, I replaced it and that solved the problem. I saw mr. jims movie on that too, so i replaced the one on my 91 pathfinder also just last month, seems to idle and run lot better now . Even if it clicks when u shake it it could be sticky, i changed the hose also, and that was all oily too. Bingomech
  5. Thanks for the info guys . Im changing some parts on the steering system (tie rods),(cross rod or drag arm) and idler arm. I have slight side to side movement on my right or passenger side wheel, i suspect its one of the right cross rod balljoint. Butt here is no way to know unless i remove it and check i guess. Also thanks to jim for the how to movie on the swaybar bushings replacement. That will be the next project in line. Bingomech
  6. Hi there board members, I am about to change my tie rod ends on my 91 pathfinder. I cant find the size of the castle nut under the joint anywhere in my chilton or haynes repair manuals. Can someone please tell me the correct size of the nut. I have socket and hand wrenches up to 19mm but i think its bigger that that. Also i saw a how to video on U tube after removing the castle nut the guy gave the fitting a couple of whacks with a small sledge hammer to release the ball joint from the arm for relacement . Has anyone tried that? Or should i buy a tie rod end puller. Guys any advise is appreciated here. Thanks Bingomech Honolulu, Hawaii
