  1. So they coulda sit on top of them and they sit on the coil bucket on the axel?
  2. I know about the bad coolers with loosing reverse and what not. But this isn't my case. Bought my 95 XE for $500 with 185k. The reason was because the tranny had no reverse. So I bought a used tranny for $500. $1000 for a first truck (not bad). The new (used) tranny had unknown miles. Now the pathy has 204k and more tranny issues. A few months ago I would be driving and my tranny would downshift (into what seemed to be 2nd or 3rd) and wouldn't shift at all. I would pull over shut off the engine and turn it back on and it would be fine. It would only happen once a week then it became once a day and for the last month it has been stuck in "limp mode" from what I've read. And yes I still have reverse. I've even disconnected the battery over night and no luck. There was a code stored in the TCM for VSS (vehicle speed sensor). I've searched the forum and haven't found problem like this from anyone else and haven't replaced the VSS yet. Is it electrical? VSS? bad TCM? Anything helps. Thanks!
  3. Just did the amp bypass. And wow what a difference! Now has anybody mounted 6x9s in the roof in place of 5x7s, that'll open up a lot of space. Anything helps. Thank again guys!
  4. Thanks guys I'll look into putting them in the rear quarter panels. Might have to get a custom box made.
  5. I have been member of NPORA for a while but this is my first post and I could use the help. So I have 2 shallow mount RF 10" punch subs. The box I have now is about 8" in depth and stretches all the way to each side. Leaving it resting on top of the wheel wells pushed against the back seat. And on top of that I have 6x9 in boxes taking up space. I plan in camping a lot this summer and I can't lay in the back because of subbox. 6x9 are going in the roof after I do the amp bypass. Can any one give me ideas on how to free up space and keep both subs? Do they fit under the seats? Or??? Give me ideas and pics of your sub set up. Anything helps. THANKS!!
  6. Same thing was happening to mine a week ago. First I did fuel filter. didnt help a thing but it was the original from 200,000 miles ago so it needed to go. Then I did your usual tune up, Plugs, Wires, Cap, and Rotor. Which had helped a little bit but not much, finally decided id throw a whole new distributor at it, and it fixed the problem. so if youve tried everything but that then id say its worth a shot.
  7. You know you own a pathy when your window seals leak/ pop out the back windows, when the heat of your exhaust catches the carpet on fire (literally), when you can't find decent priced lift other that a BL, when you have done every other mod but a lift because of the last statement, when you want to just sell her but can't come around to do it.
