  1. Nice! Since I like to run an inverter at the campsite for power (stolen along with my gel cell in my D21) this makes great sense. I like the idea that both will fit, hopefully this works on a WD21 too. My list of "need to do's" is getting long but this is definitely on the list. Thanks for the write up and pics!

  2. I think the Rear motors/regulators are the same as the front - by which i mean its the same part number, front or back door.

Just FYI, front and back regulators are NOT the same, no even close to the same length. I was at P&P today and was curious in case my fix doesn't hold...
  3. Thanks! I will go over to my buddies house and get some dims off of his coils and check out the thread with the coil spring specs.... In the meantime I went to P&P today and yarded the springs off the front of a JGC. The whole process was about 45 mins, the majority of that on the first one to figure out what I needed to release to let them fall out the bottom. If I had to do it again I bet I could get both out in les than 15 mins. Easy Schmeezy. I know there is a thread with pics on where the pigtail was cut off but for some reason I cant access the images. Can somebody post those again or just tell me where I should cut them? I am guessing about where they come to full diameter but that is just my attempt at logical reasoning. If it looks like those Wrangler springs will work you may see these in the flea market for cost...My digital calipers say these a .563 thick

  4. Thanks guys. I never thought that rattle could come from somewhere other than behind the dash but it could easily be coming through the vent..... I will check that. I've been wanting to open up the vent clean out anyway. Thanks again! Second tank of fuel on the Pathy, first one was abt 17 mpg, this one was 18, mixed city and highway. I wanna try to up that some,

  5. When I changed mine all I did was pull the drain plug. About 1 gallon came out, I installed a tranny cooler and put 1 gallon back in. To bring it up to the high hot mark it ended up taking another quart. I should have pulled the pan but the fluid looks perfectly clean so I ain't sweating it. YMMV

  6. I thought that could have been the case seeing I could not find any online. All done and windows work fine. I will probably do a mock up procedure in the next week or so as soon as I am sure the JB Weld works. Heck, I have fixed a cracked VeeWee block with it, it should hold a window regulator together....

    :aok:

  7. Do your power windows not work? Can you hear the motor working but window doesn't move or stays in the down position?

I did a search and found ZERO aftermarket sources that had the back passenger regulators for a 4D. I am sure they are available through Nissan($$$) but figured I could fix them myself.

This is the problem area: The tab on the cable breaks loose from its plastic housing and no longer ties the window to the regulator.

I just pulled the regulator, cleaned tab and housing area where the tab sits with brake cleaner and used JB Weld to reconstruct (probably better than original) the seat and contact between the cable and regulator housing.

If anyone is remotely interested in this fix I can take more pics or even film the procedure but it is pretty straightforward. Here is a pic of the problem area and the regulator laying on my dining room table curing, ready for reinstall in 5-6 hours. I will be starting the drivers side this afternoon, I just cant decide if I should document it or not...

  8. Welcome JJ. I look forward to some suspension mods too, I have some Jeep buddies that want to "show me how". I have been off roading and 4 wheeling for years, albeit a number of years ago, cant wait to put the Pathy through its paces.

  9. Welcome Jake! I am pretty new to this forum and Pathys as well. I have gleaned a lot of info from the guys on here, they are always willing to help and have gotten me headed in the right direction with mine. Nice to hear about your buddy in the Jeep, a buddy of mine with a YJ is giving me crap. I hope after a few suspension mods I can prove him wrong too !!

    See you around the forums....

  10. I have always hated having to buy a pump just to change diff gear oil, T-case fluid or any other inaccessible fill holes...

Made this today in about 3 minutes in expectation of changing my T-case fluid. Looked so good I left it for now but thought someone might like this idea or at least give them a giggle!

Wasn't it Mae West that said "Just put your lips together and blow..
