Those are called Brownie points.....

Here is a couple. The first one is a '59 Apache (of course) that had sat in a field woth a tree growing through the bed for as long as I could remember. I finally asked the guy to sell it and was glad to sell it to me for 400 dollars.
I spent some time on it bringing it back to stock (except for Nova rear end so it could keep up with CA traffic). Thought about rodding it but to me that is a little of a crime so I sold it to a guy that will treat it nice and wipe it down with a diaper.
I loved this buggy. I traded it for a '57 Ghia (needed a lot of work)and took a 2.0L Bus motor with an RV cam and dual 44 Webers on it. You could spin donuts at will and powerslide from a standstill at lights... Fun, Fun, Fun! Cheated smog a couple of times down here but finally sold it. I will make another someday...

Installed 33x12.50 General Grabber AT2s. Kinda like the looks of them and all the reviews I found placed them as the new benchmark for AT tires, time will tell. Picked up a full set of Lego wheels with caps. I now have my spare Lego and 3 wheels and caps I do not need......

Yeah, larger dia.= lower RPMs. Just curious about bigger footprint/mileage/power factor. I get about 17 around town and about 19-20 on the highway. I am sure it will go down but don't know how much.
-
I had to check mine out this morning on the way to work. 65 @ 2500 rpm. My 33x12.50s should be on my doorstep in the next couple of days. I am curious to see the difference.

Yep. Prolly middle of December......

Just do everyone knows, I had posted about interest in a yearly (ya think?) Pathfinder calendar and didn't get a whole lot of response. I will be creating one anyway and using the ToTM winners as the monthly pics. Since December is not voted on in time to get out the calendars by Jan. 1st I will use the preceding months winner for the next months pic..... Confusing? Right on. This actually worked really well on one of my other forums and everyone is looking forward to the competition to next years calendar. They cost me nothing to create, the quality surpassed everyones expectations and are ordered online... Easy Peezy!

You aren't from around here, are you? Polk and Bush is where you want to go...

HA! No, I visit the Bay Area a couple times a year though and love to drive around at night and "people watch", if you call call it that..... I knew someone would chime in though with more local knowledge!

Trim? Corner of Polk and Market....

Whaa? I can't get a good winch bumper for my WD anymore? What am I to do? Fab one?

Religion and politics usually turn out to be VERY BAD topics on unrelated forum boards. Everyone has their own beliefs but discussing them here is not a good idea, just like at my doorstep.

If your diff was welded solid you would know it, the push when making a slow tight corner would be obvious. Like was said, run your VIN #, scrape all the crap off the diff housing and look for the orange sticker, jack the rear end and spin the wheels, etc.

I just did that for troubleshooting purposes but might leave it that way so the fogs are not dependent on the headlight switch... I have not opened up the lamps again and did any continuity or voltage checks but will soon.. Thanks for the tip, worst case scenario I will have to run new wires....If I get mine operational before the OP I will post some pics and results.

Been trying to get mine to work recently. Replaced both bulbs ( burnt out), nothing. Figured it was the relay, replaced it, nothing. Started tracing wiring and power, had constant 12V to the relay but still no lights. That is when I found that if I took the purple wire and hooked it directly to the + post of the battery the relay clicked and had 12V on the out of the relay, but for me, still no lights. I have a short or open in the circuit between the relay and the lamps, just haven't got around to rewiring that yet. But if I leave the switch on the console off and power the purple wire, nothing. If I turn the switch on and power the purple wire I can hear the relay close. I just deduced that it was the exciter wire....

Purple wire is the switch wire for the relay....

I must admit, my garage has been nothing but a storage area for years, but since Shasta County is 2nd in the nation for vehicle thefts per capita and my hardbody was stolen earlier this year I have been worried about losing the Pathy too, going as far as getting out of bed to make sure the doors are locked. It may not prevent it from getting stolen but it might make them look elsewhere...
Anyway, over the last couple of weeks I have been throwing out all the crap I don't need and organizing (somewhat) hoping to fit the Pathy in the garage. Well today I finally got it done. I was worried that with the Pathy and the bike it would be a tight fit but was pleasantly surprised there was plenty of room for both and all the rest of my "stuff" that I could not throw away.
So no more worrying about theft OR scraping ice off the windows and a place to work on it if the need arises... Yay!

I am sure smog regs in New Mexico are nothing like they are here in Commiefornia where it would be costly to bring it up to our requirements but you may have some safety issues that are not required in Spain.
Do your homework, as much as you love your Terrano it might make more sense to pick up a Pathy here...
Welcome to the states! I own some land in New Mexico close to Taos but haven't been there in years....

Nice write up ahardbody, my Garmin says mine is pretty much on the money but it sure is nice to know how to do it. Maybe when I go to 33s it would be a good time to recalibrate.
Thanks!

It got down to 40 last night... Brrr! Should be in the low 70s today, breaking out the bike for a nice ride! I don't miss the winters on the US/Canada border....

Right on Steve, that's how I did it. Took all of 5 minutes!!! I did warm the hose up real good first though....

It depends a lot on the tire and what kind of riding I am doing. Those Dunlop 606s in that pic lasted about 6000 miles before I changed them but I don't usually run them til they are bald..... I had a set of Mefo Explorers that lasted 10k but it was a horrible off road tire..
