  1. Hids work fine if you use the right temp (color) under 5000k anything over is useless in the wet . Under 5000k is in the white to yellow spectrum the lower you go 3000k being quite yellow and 4300k being white. I used to use the common 6300 to 6500k and found in the wet it was like using a candle useless so swapped to 4500k, which is almost as white as led if you can get 4300k grab them as they are generally spot on to led color temp and excellent.
  2. I'm running 4300k 35w hi lo hid in factory headlights work amazing with our glass lenses in the series 1 .4300k is white daylight not blue so they actually work in rain etc the higher colors tend to not penetrate well in the rain. I use a 24 inch Cree led light bar on the roof all flood and have 4 separate 6inch Cree led spots on my front bar two pointed 45 degrees out to light up kangaroos etc at night all work excellent for me. Considering the amount of animals that like to commit vehicular suicide in Western Australia . Led light bars are defiantly miles ahead off roading as the spread and color of light is amazing , HIDs give the distance on the open road. Once you have HIDs or Leds you wont go back to halogen the current draw is so much less and the quality of light with lack of heat is awesome.

  5. Hi there, fellow finders of the path. My name is Troy Have had 4wd's one kind or another since I could drive. Previously worked as workshop manager for several 4wd workshops. Get camping 4x4 and outdoors as much as possible . Have owned my R50 for about 6 months and have done the usual mods . Intake , exhaust , dual batteries , lift , mud tyres, led light bars. previous 4wd's were mainly patrols . Got the Pathfinder due to an ankle injury and having to require an auto and a bit more comfort. After owning wildly moddified bigger trucks its nice to have some thing comfortable for a change and still quite capable.
