  1. Ever since I swapped to royal purple 10w30, and the engine is cold, the engine makes more noise when I start it up... truck has 160k miles on it so I figured synthetic would help (and it normally does) but this time the engine just doesn't sound as happy.....

  2. I'm trying to diagnose the same issues here too. I took it to autozone and unplugged each relay and the issue did not go away until I unplugged the big gray one on the drivers side. With the relay unplugged of course it did nothing. The autozone guy was nice enough to let me try a new one in the socket and the issue was still there. They tested the battery and it's 100%....so I guess I have to replace my ignition switch now? ugh..... really hoping to not have to replace the starter again.

  3. I have the H33B (not sure if that's the correct model) LSD for my pathy but it needs a rebuild..... tons of shuddering when making tight turns in forward & reverse. What should I do? rebuild it? Or ? Thanks

Also is it worth putting the R200 LSD in the front? Any draw backs?

  4. Ok so i got the headers..... and noticed that the bung for the o2 sensor is hanging off of only one of the runners. which means the ECU will only be able to monitor the o2 from one cylinder. I've seen this cause problems before on my NSX (which is OBD II)... would this cause a problem for the 95 pathy? is it OBD II or I?

  5. Well im hoping this exhaust isn't too harsh or annoying and just gives it some more torque... the new MAF sensor didn't really seem to make much difference though. The timing was done with the new distributor cap / rotor / plugs and wires...... after all that was done it was running very strong and it just recently started sputtering and has less power.

  6. yea timing belt and valve adjustment done already..

went out to replace the MAF since I had the parts already and that clip went flying just as you said adam lol luckily it bounced off the hood and onto the distributor cap...

u guys think i should unplug the battery to reset the ECU after replacing the MAF?

  7. If you're not willing to contribute constructively to this thread then what are you doing posting here?

My truck *should* be able to haul 4 people and not have to floor it... isn't this what forums are for to exchange helpful tips?

Driving in 4L everywhere off road doesn't make sense at all so by that token that is incorrect. These roads allowed me to drive up to 25mph in 4H and it was fine.

The issue I'm talking about is not being able to climb long hills on the freeway in 2H in OD. The only option was to turn off OD and floor it. So we're talking about 2 separate things here.

And by the same token, I'm experienced enough that I wouldn't complain about my truck being under powered when I'm trying to climb a steep hill in the wrong gear.

Anyway I think that replacing the O2 sensor, MAF & PCV will help..... :puterpunch:

  8. You can change the pcv, maf and o2 yourself. The maf and pcv would probably take 20 minutes of combined total time....

Yea if I could find the part number to the hose that connects to the PCV... it's dry rotted and it snapped when I tried to remove it... Also I have no idea how to remove the MAF plug.....?

  9.

    Cute.

If the truck feels like it doesn't have enough power to make it up a "steep incline" you're in the wrong gear.

In the video I'm in first gear. Of course I'm not flooring it as I'm not trying to get stuck out there by myself several hours into the middle of the desert.

I now drive with power mode on and it drives much better. Next time its in the shop I'm getting the PCV, MAF & o2 sensors replaced as well as the headers & exhaust. I'll have to check the cats to make sure what diameter it is...
