  1. A few posts on here made me laugh. non metered air in a leaking intake will actually cause a lean situation. How does the exhaust look/smell? Do you see any black smoke? Normally using that much fuel would be easy to notice from the tailpipe. I've had clogged converters and the mpg didn't suffer as much as the performance over mid rpm range. Are you sure your fuel gauge is functioning correctly? Fill the tank to the top and refill after a day and measure fuel consumption vs distance. I would check all fuel lines for any possible leaks, also around the injectors. A MR2 I owned had a failed mass air flow meter, you can actually see the black smoke when reved :36-:38
  2. There is about 5 LSD rear ends at my local yard. Will the LSD pumpkin swap into a stock drum XE rear end?
  3. There's about 10 WD21's with trailer hitches, from the weird Euro style, to class-2 bolt on hitches. I'll see how much they are next time I go.
  4. 2 bolts where the tow hooks go on the frame. 1 bolt in the bumper bracket. Its completely free but the \______/ piece is too wide to come out of the bumper. Going to sawzaw it.
  5. I tried to get the push guard off but it was being a PITA, I got all the bolts loose but its like "stuck" in the bumper. I'm going back tomorrow with the sawzaw to fix the problem. I took a picture of the wheels...
  6. Not sure if they were stock chrome wheels. I'll take pictures of them tomorrow. They wouldn't work on my 1993 stock XE chromes.
  7. Going tomorrow to go get this, they told me its going to be 30 bucks.... Maybe this too.... its the only metal wd21 radiator I've ever seen... I also grabbed the center caps off of it (1987) but they don't fit my 1993 wheels... DOH
  8. So many of us with CB's ... seems like we all go for the tire rack!!!!! haha.
  9. NGK wires too if you can, nothing makes me happier than seeing NGK plug wires under the hood.
  10. I did not specify to the seller on ebay, the ad lists what you are purchasing, 10X194 led bulbs.
  11. Laptop playing pandora while playing around with my generator and pathfinder lol. Take note rear spoiler removed from hatch... what is its purpose?! and rear window removed for tint removal.
  12. Got my 194 bulbs in the other day and decided to install them. Sorry no before picture of the gauge cluster lighting... 5Xscrews to remove the gauge cluster surrounding, 4Xscrews for the gauge cluster and just lay it forward (no need to remove it). Also remember LED's only work with current one way so make sure you have your lights on and verify you plugged your 194 in correctly. old... New.. (YES there are 194's in the turn signal indicators and they make a very nice difference in the day time) ...leftover Led's... Sylvania silverstars from the junkyard (25 cents each) $10 Ebay tire cover... BTW I got the LED's for 8.00 with free shipping from ebay (10 Led's, enough to do gauge cluster, corner lights, license plate lights) http://www.ebay.com/itm/180962277359?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
  13. Do you know where the obd1 port is located at?
  14. I can't believe I am posting this but the addition of the air box mod with the exhaust did feel like it gave me a little more power from 3k-5k, which I really don't use often. It did nothing for the bottom end 1k-3k, but did add a slightly noticeable increase at high rpm. If I had to throw a inaccurate guess I'd say my maximum whp went from 115-120 to about 125. I'll see if I can sneak a free dyno run at my friends place.
  15. minus the video... sound quality is so horrible there is no point
  16. Thought I'd add my DIY "intake". This is a simple way to add some extra engine sound, just like a cone filter will. I used a metal blade in my sawzall so it really didnt cost me any wear to the blade. I removed the box assembly then carefully cut around the outer edge. I removed the front snorkle, removed the inner harness holder to allow maf harness to reach new maf sensor location. I used a bracket that secured the original box bolted to the inner fender using spare bolts to ensure it wont rub the a/c pulley during a hard bumb. My filter was pretty dirty too, I will be buying a ebay air intake soon, I just wanted to show a DIY free intake, this box can be cut with a hack saw as well, took about 1 minute with the sawzall. Took a video of the sound.
  17. Haha it certainly is a nice Falcon! I am looking towards tires for the future. I really want to keep the stock 235-75-15 for mpg (I don't wheel too much atm) but I will be moving to Pennsylvania in December. I have never driven in the snow before and I want to be prepared. I want to get Michelin LTX M/S, which I know stand for mud/snow, but I was wondering if these would help? http://www.ebay.com/itm/P235-75R15XL-Pacemark-Snowtrakker2-Studdable-Winter-Snow-Ice-Tire-235-75-15-/160880074067?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2575331d53&vxp=mtr I want to be able to shove the snow off my windshield and force my way out of a snow blockade at home/work. My pathy is 4x4 5speed. I've thought about a rear air locker... Yall prob think I'm overkill
  18. Looks like the tailpipe is in the line of fire if the rock sliders were used
  19. I've always wondered why people buy the cheapest air filters available for intake, I've been given these spectre filters and thrown them away. If its a good design and captures the air effectively I'm pretty sure you could get a 10-15hp increase above 60mph which would be slightly noticable, it wouldn't suddenly make your WD21 able to pass people though LOL I agree the intakes on these are decent, I do like the sound of a open element intake however (tiny bit louder). I'll post my free intake setup if I get around to it.
  20. I've changed out tons of those GM truck hub bearings that are "Sealed" units, replace the other side asap as well. It got so bad at work I made a video about it (we were changing these hub bearings after 30-50K miles total)
  21. He says that it is a V6 VG30DE in the video description.
  22. Axle will normally make a clunking sound or a knocking sound. A wheel well will normally make a rubbing sound, metal to metal=squeak/squeal.
