No. They barely spoke any English. I just wanted to hurry up and get that title in my hand as soon as they said "ci" to "uno grand/1000 dolla?" ha
-
Yes I get that, but what exactly does that mean? That I need to buy spacers, or readjust something?
-
The previous owner replaced tr struts (recently) but not with Nissan struts. She was certain this was the issue (strut plate/bearing) and I know this often becomes an issue when struts are replaced on vehicles. I was just lpoking for a bit of reassurance, that's all.

After the advice I was given in a previous thread I posted "(sigh) lift kit help" I've decided to go with this lift http://www.cartserver.com/sc/cart.cgi However, it mentions something about "backs pacing"... What is this, exactly? I was going to run 15" steel wheels with 31" BFG ko ta's on it, and was planning on buying and installing these BEFORE the lift. Does this mean I can't run the same wheels in the rear as the front? If SO, what do I need to do?
-
I looked it up, and by the recall's guidelines, I'm not affected, as the vehicle was purchased in south carolina (by the original owner) and I (second owner) live here as well. Should I still call/take it to the dealer?
-
I've heard it referenced in Jeep discussions, but never with pathfinders. Them again, ive personally never known a single person with a pathfinder, until myself
-
How do I go about checking that?
-
It was. I checked all that out at work the other day
-
What is death wobble? Like a shaking at high (interstate) speeds? Then no
-
Yes it's a clunking. If I turn hard/fast enough, it will sometimes do it. Same with bumps: the faster I go over one, the more prone it is to "clunking"
-
Lol. No jugaboo @!*% mods, pls. I prefer a practical suv. Not a star from a Gucci Mane video
-
I can hear the strut moving around (driver front) when it hits a bump. I just bought it a week ago and the girl told me it needed one. She also has (sometime fairly recently) replaced the struts. My gf's Camry needed the same thing on both front struts after I replaced them. When I test drove it, I could feel the jerk (thought it may be a cv axel, checked it, and it's not). I'm pretty certain it's only this small issue, but I get paranoid easily, especially with new (to me) vehicles. Thanks!

^or trying to sell their ugly ass 20's
-
Well the top of the strut moves around when you hit a bump, so I'm positive it needs them replaced as well. But alas, within 3 months I'll have a lift kit installed
-
Yes. I've said all 3 of those names to parts stores/auto techs, and they've all said "no, it's called (insert different part name)" but yes, that's what I'm referring to

Seems simple enough. Something I'm getting done Friday: it needs a strut plate on the drivers side. How simple easy is this? And how much will it throw my alignment off?
-
Could I be getting that bad of gas mileage because the throttle body and all is REALLY just that dirty and clogged, akin with the injectors? I know pathys never have gotten "good" gas mileage, but like I said, mine seems terrible, even by pathy standards.
-
Is there a step-by-step of sorts for doing that as well? Because I was going to clean the throttle body and injectors at the shop Friday already. And I'm getting way worse gas mileage than I should (most with my age and mileage being stock are rated at around 11-12.5, but I'm getting more like 8.5-10).
-
See, I was totally thinking this was being done more towards middle of the pathy. Sorry for the noob-ness, but this little bit of shared knowledge is greatly appreciated

Thanks so much for the help. Now, y'all say "hubs" as in "hub bearings"? How does this also tie into the whole lift/ride quality scenario. And for these kits, other than the clamps, do I need any other specialty tools (or know-how) to install it? (I actually work in a shop and do struts/shocks once in a while when we get busy, believ it or not) And while I know that alignment (toe and camber) is affected by lifts, will it be THAT noticeable being this small Of a lift, as compare to a 4"+ lift?
-
That transmission flushing procedure you posted about in another threa on here (the one about mpg), is there a link w/ a picture to the hose I'm supposed to disconnect? I feel as though I could do that service myself, and this pathfinder does need it.
-
Perhaps I'll TRY my wheel set up (15" steelies w/ the 31" bfg t/a's) and see if it rubs/touches anything. And if it does, I can just take em off and wait 3 weeks til I have the money for the lift, right?
-
This forum (so far) seems a lot more friendly than NICO. I asked simply of there was an app in the making for that forum in the general discussion area, and was swiftly raped for doing so by reasons as to why that's a dumb idea
-
Again I'm new, bare with me. I was told by a local store that claims to be "the leading experts in truck and suv customization in the midlands" that I did, and I should try just turning them up. It's got the nose dive thing going on
-
Well that's where I saw the OME lift that I included in my OP. I just don't want to turn my torsion bars up for a lift. Doesn't that usually lead to damage tithe bushings or something over time?
