I put electric fans on my Pathy, changed the tranny oil & get better mileage now, but it's still only about 18-19 highway & 15 urban. I'm going to look into the locking hubs

I have the FF Dynamics Stage 1 Extreme dual fan kit on my 96. It works great, has an adjustable thermo & lifetime warranty. I kept the stock shroud, just had to cut it a little to get the elec fans to fit. Out in the desert it never goes above 195f.

it's definatley not a poser kit look in my pics; although I did weld the blocks on too just for added strength.
Cool! Looks like it holds up well from your pics. I'm still debating the 2" or 4" lift, I'm not sure what tires to go with so I guess the tries will be the deciding factor. You have 33's with your 4" lift right? Did you have to chop the body at all?

It will either strip the thread or break in half. Get another cluster just so that you can stay on top of oil changes.
Mine just went way out of sync.
Proof the gears will break in half over time.
Thanks for the photos, gives us a better idea of whats going on. I may fix mine at some point, I only use the Pathy for desert fun once or twice a month so it's easy to keep rough track of the mileage so it's not that important for me. I use my gps to keep a rough mileage record for my trips.

yeah its the analog... only bad part is my pathy only has 98k miles which is a good selling point, just not when the odometer doesnt work...
A friend told me that it's fairly common. He said there's a little plastic gear that strips the thread like Tungsten said. You might be able to replace just that gear or jerry rig it somehow. I'm not going to bother with mine, when I get rid of my Pathy it'll only be ready for the scrap heap

North Hollywood, here. I just got my first Pathfinder today and cannot wait to take it off road.
I need a cool simple spot for my first trek. Suggestions?
Did you get off road yet?
I have a ton of cool places down here, but in your area you're probably going to want to go out to the Lancaster/Victorville area.
Next week I'm going to an event in the Mojave, check it out it'll be really cool...... http://landops.com/
you might want to join this group they have some cool events.

Hey guys, glad to know there's a few more Pathy owners down here!
TDS is holding an event at Truckhaven in Anza Borrego on Feb 23, 24 & 25. I'm going on Saturday & stay overnight. These are fun events & all types of off roaders are welcome (beginners, weekend warriors, experts, etc). It will be a great couple of days, lots of fun. Let me know if you want to meet up somewhere & drive down there.

Let us know how it goes. I was going to get the 2" lift but this is way cool. I'm just wondering how this kit will stand up to off roading, it looks strong enough but I hope it's meant for serious dirt & it's not just a "posers" kit.

I have the exact same problem on my '96. Analog odometer.

I'm in for a 3 gauge pod for my '96. I have the gray interior but I'm willing to paint mine if needed.

I'm in Orange County. Anyone local that wants to explore the Anza Borrego, Cleveland Forest areas let me know.

Hi all,
I'm just wondering if anyone has added an aftermarket water temp gauge & if so, where did you place the sensor?
I found the sensor for the oem gauge (next to the ecu water temp sensor), but the new sensor is way too big (& long) to fit in there.
Also, if anyone has added an oil pressure gauge did you use a T & the oem oil pressure sender location or did you put the sender somewhere else?
Thnx.
