  1. ok, i have done some recearch on the subject, and ahve come up with this. Dynamat - NOT CHEAP B-Quiet - Not too far behind dynamat and my fav. //EDIT ok, i just followed my own link, and it just took me to the home page, just do a search for "Thermwell Insulation" and it will take you to it. sorry about that //END EDIT Thermwell Insulation Read the product reviews, some one put it in there vett to cut back the nose, and it worked (atleast they said it did) and its CHEAP, for 15sqft it is only $16.00/USD. -- $1.60 a sqft Not bad at all, i will be useing this my self when i do the floor. Jon

  3. i have been searching for a turbo for my 3.0, and have not found a kit for it... my reason for a turbo is for high-end power, mostly so i can break 70mph i can look for the info on the turbo for a 3.5, but as far as i know, there isnt a kit/info on it. I will call around for you, call some race shops, and some pefromance places around here and try to get some info on it for you jon

  6. hmmm....... i tend to use a torque wrench to tighten ALL my bolts.... that way when it buzzes (yes i have an electronic torque wrench from SnapOn) i know there tight all-data comes in handy as well
  7. ok ok, i dont agree with tale gateing, but, i also dont like people that edge right up to you on a stop light (mostly on a uphill road [i drive a 5 speed]). I have given a few cars a love tap at the light, not always on porpus, but i have been known to give a vett a kiss of my spair tire, or bumper. Anyway, i dont tale gate (hell, i can bearly keep up with the cars, i bearly break 70 5 gear tac'ed) and when people break check me, i allmost hit them, the pathy just dosnt stop all that well...... I am also one for calling the cops on break-checkers, i allmost slamed into a POS cavilar in the middle of an intersection. Appearntly i was following too close. the jerk stoped right ont he other side of the intersecton and got out (leaveing me in the intersection) and started yelling at me and kicked my rig (didnt do any damnage). I called Fort Smiths finest and they cought him. He was on speed. The cop told me i would have been the right if i had hit him in self defense. ?? anyway.... that is just me..... Jon
  8. UPDATE: it looks as if im going to be buying a rebuild kit for my truck now. pulled the head to check for any mechanical problems, and found a hole in one of the pistons The coplart seems to be pre-detantion, which i was haveing a problem with before anyway (i thought it was just a bit of spark nock) and now i need to rebuild....... Im thinking of boring the engine out since im going to have it apart anyway, and over-sized pistons are not too much more. Thanks for all the help guys. Jon
  9. going to do that first thing in the moring thanks Jon
  10. ok, quick update, got the truck out of rudy, now its in alma. Still not runing right, but atleast it is at a shop where i can work on it at. Curent prognosis. Truck was setting at a ~45 degree angle for about 5 hours, oil leaded up into one cylnder, fauled the plug, sprayed fule into the cylnder, leaked into the pan, thined the fule enough to leak past the valve guids and up past the rings. Either that or a blowin head gasket...... Jon
  11. I live in barling, right next to Fort Smith for those of you that dont know, but i was playing in a half horse town called Rudy. Well, got pulled out to the road thanks to some friends, But she wont fire.... still. I pulled the plugs turned her over, shot a bit of oil out. got worryed, checked the oil, and water, no mixing. Im gussing that i got it sideways enough to get oil into the cylnder to foule the plugs. Going tomarrow to put new plugs in and try to get her home. if not, im going to need a trailer to get it home to work on it. Will let you guys know what is going on tomarrow. Jon
  12. ok, couldnt get to the pathy, the creek inlet raised last night, and cant get my friends jeep Wrangler across it (all stock) - infact we had to get pulled out by another friend.... this spot is getting really old :furious: I will be heading over to it tomarrow with my friends full sized chevy 1500 Z71 with 8 total inches of lift, and 38inch Super Swamper TSL that should make it, and if not, he has a 10,000lb weinch and some tow straps and chains, he can just pull the damn thing back to the road if i cant get it going as for the smoke, it is white, but smells like gas, and maby oil, but not sure. Jon
  13. lol I will be going out to it in a few, and try to get it moveing tonight...... Jon
  14. hmmm.... the computer..... hope not...... why is it under the passenger set anyway? that dosnt seem like a good playce to put a computer in an "off road" vehical...
  15. it was leaning to the right... (passenger side ) I will try it tomarrow after work and see if anything has improved, i also have some cool pics from it, will post ASAP A still sad Jon
  16. Ok, today, i went weeling somewhere i dont know (first mastake) and drove through a mud puddle that i thought was small (second mastake). About 5 hours later a nice rig pulled me out with a 8000LB wiench. Well the hole was DEEP on one side, and not soo deep on the other side So i was setting at a steep angle for about 5 hours . now the pathfinder wont run worth a @!*%. It smokes, stutters, and idles low. Smells really bad of gas. I had to leave it where it is because i cant make it more than 5 feet. and i need to go farther than 5 feet to get home.... If you guys have anyidea what it could be, if you have ever had any experance with this issue, or any ideas to dignose in the field, it would be great A very sad, but still alive Jon
