  1. Very VERY ineterested! Please tell me that you will make them for us vq35de guys with 01-04 R50s. Or will these fit our engines as well?
  2. Yeah i was thinking about using a wrench. Still didnt think when i pb blasted them, that i gave it enough time to do its thing. Especially trying to pry at it with a wrench. I will probably attempt this again this weekend, and make sure to do the pb blast the night before. Did you have to remove or move those three coolant hoses out of the way to get to it as i reffered to in the original post? I struggled to get those spring clamps off, and i actually bent one and had to tweak it back in a vice. I literally was fighting just to get my hand even close to the sensor down there, with the transmission tube sticking out, and all of those hard-line tubing attached the inside of the engine compartment. Just seems impossible to get a "turn" out of it once i got the socket-wrench attached to the o2 socket.
  3. Well as the title reads, i need help trying to remove my passenger pre-cat o2 sensor. I have no codes or anything, but shortly after doing my spark plugs a while back, i just cant seem to regain my once good/fair gas mileage and good power. I went from 17-18.6 mpg to 14.5-15.5 mpgs. I know the pre-cat o2 sensors have to do with air fuel mixture readings, and bad or warn-out sensors can cause increased fuel consumption, and relatively poor performance. I have both. My car still feels as it sputters, or struggles especially going up any kind of incline. I also did already replace the drivers o2 sensor pre-cat with no difficulties. It just seems impossible to get to the passenger side one as too much stuff is in the way to turn the ratchet once i finally got it on there. I had to remove three coolant tubes that are just to the left and behind the valve cover and i.m. on that side. I know i probably need a special socket adapter or something that can reach it at an angle and turn it. Anyone that has had success doing this, please let me know what your solution was. Also i have already replaced my MAF sensor, air filter with k/n drop in, and did the power valve screws. Also cleaned the throttle body and power valves. Car has 130k miles. And should i just take it to the dealer to have the ecu re-flashed? Seems to be a must when changing o2 and MAF sensors.
  4. Where do you find the bilsteins that fit for our r50's? I have a 2003 qx4, and need to replace my suspension. I REALLY want to get the bilsteins for the back shocks, but dont want to purchase them from 4x4parts.com because i know they tend to be overpriced. If you know the part number for the rears, hook it up so i can bargain shop for them. I dont think they make the front struts, so probably go with the kyb gr-2's.
  5. Thanks for the kind comments, and sarcastic one lol;) I forgot to mention my name is Dave, i just got married and have a baby girl on the way, and my 2003 infiniti qx4 4x4 kinda dark silver(wv2 i think) on black leather base(no heated seats or lsd) with 124k miles. I have thouroughly enjoyed doing all of the maintenance myself, and with the help of a buddy for brakes only. I am currently trying to get my maf sensor to work properly again, tried cleaning it twice which helped for a day or so, but am going to end up replacing it with my 22680 2y001 00-01 maxima maf that i picked up a few weeks ago. The only problem, is that it is not a direct swap as my existing maf has a 4-pin connection, and this has a 5-pin connection. I read on maxima.org that you need to move the iat thermistor and clip it onto the new one. Although, no one on my other nico.com forum can help me find the iat thermistor with pictures, or a good accurate discription, and i want to know what to do with the plugged 5th pin on my wire harness, and the 5th pin on my new maf sensor from courtesyparts.com. Any help here would be greatly appreciated:)
  6. F.Y.I the 2001-2003 infiniti qx4 stock xenon low beams are a 4300k color temp. I wanted to see if you guys actually new what type of bulb type are the stock fog lights, and what type of hid replacement kit would work with them? I am going with the ddm 35watt system but need bulb-type info. Thanks and sorry to thread-jack:)
  7. Hello all! Just signed up and wanted to say whats up to everyone rockin their r50's! I just recieved my "missing link" bar, although have not attempted to install it yet, as i know i will need to pre-soak the bolts to break loose. I have a 2003 infiniti qx4 which is basically a pathy with a luxury dressing. Since purchasing it back in early april this year, i have replaced the front brake rotors(baer x-drilled slotted), pads(hawk hps) goodridge stainless steel brake lines, and a magnaglow dual 2.25" in/dual 2.25" out exhaust with some nice magnaflow resonated oval exhaust tips. I also recently did some tune-up stuff including some pulstar platinum plugs and fully winterized my vehicle with all new fluids and filters. Although i beleive when i tackle the power-valve screws, i am going to replace the plugs again with the oem ngk ones, cause i dont really feel the claimed improvements, and i want the peace of mind that i am not goint to hurt my engine at all with non-stock plugs. Here are some pics for your enjoyment as well:) My link My linkMy linkMy link My link
