  2. i am in need of some help with the instrument cluster in my 91 turbo diesel terrano it has the tacho on it and the tacho doesn't work is it an electrical pickup or cable (like a speedo, which also doesn't work properly) is there a common problem with these or am just an unlucky person

  7. i found these free wheeling hubs on ebay and i was wondering if anyone knew anything about them i dont even know what brand they are but they are cheap enough for the amount and type of wheeling i will be doing http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220719333818&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
  8. im just curious as to whether the nissan auto hubs work in reverse or only forward
  9. i think i am going to pull the bar of my kia sportage and modify the mounting points and bolt it on my Terrano here is what it looks like in primer and finished with my hella rally 4000 spotties on it i have measured both cars and they are both the same width so it will be an easy swap i think (im just not too sure how the kia will look when i put the terrano bumper on it)
  10. as in the topic i am trying to figure out what trim level i have as i dont know if its a xe or se or what is there anything that i should be looking for to tell me other that velor seats and trim the vehicle is a 1991 terrano turbo diesel R3M
  11. did you consider getting it rebuilt at an auto electrician as that would get you a brand new one and not pay the $500+ for it
  12. this is our cat that came out of the bush and decided it liked us and wants to stay and we have found out she is pregnant so we will have a few more in a couple of weeks and as you can see she is not bothered by the native wildlife that visits us
  13. was it just not turning over like it had a flat battery if so then you have a choice of two problems it could be either a dead battery or the alternator needs replacing i hope that helps
  14. WOO HOO im happy as i now have my Terrano sitting in my driveway and there turned out to be a funny little story about the Terrano as well. We went to have a look at it and it looked good so i decide to have a look in the glovebox (as you always do when you look at a car) and the rego paper from the previous owner was in there and i had a bit of a shock when i read the name as it turns out it was my friends fathers Terrano that he traded on a newer car and when i was about to leave the car yard the salesman asked me if i was interested in "some offroad wheels for the car" well the wheels turned out to be 4 wrangler mtr's (2 of which are stuffed but 2 are almost new) and they are 32x11.5x15 and i got them for $100 (is that a bargain or what?)
  15. Hey Cyril the blue one i have a pic of is on ebay at the moment and it is in newcastle with you
  16. g'day all flyinwall here from the sunshine coast Qld and i pick up my 92 terrano from brisbane tomorrow (its stock as a rock and straight as a die so it will be a good starting platform for my planned mods)
  17. Welcome from another new aussie member! where in aus are you from i am on the sunshine coast in sunny Qld? and where are the pics of your Pathy?? and what are you using it for and what mods do you have (or have planned)?
  18. i am wanting to replace the front bumper on the wd21 4 door (when i get it) and i am wanting ideas for how to design and build it I dont like tube bars as they open up the front and dont appear to offer much protection and i prefer the look of a solid bumper sort of like Northernpathy's bumper that he just made (it looks like it could take a fair beating and still come back for more, just out of curiosity how heavy would that bar be) Anyhow how about some pics of your front bumpers so i can get an idea
  19. are there any differences between petrol and diesel tanks with the GU patrol as id hate to get the wrong one and i guess its a GU wagon not a tray back what is the capacity of the standard pathy fuel tank?
  20. ive already got a nice set of 15x7 alloy mags (with a good amount of offset) for it so that is a start and i hope to pick it up either tomorrow or the next day
  21. Ok ..... Well i just sold the landcruiser so now i can go and get the new (to me) beast unfortunatly its not the blue 1991 2 door but a white 1992 4 door Terrano turbo diesel it is a little bit cheaper and a hell of a lot closer, as the blue one was about 11 hours drive away but the white one is about 2 hours drive away and it is the turbo diesel that i wanted. Now as for plans for it i want to do a 2" suspension lift with 2" body lift and 31" mud tyres (for the moment) and a fuel tank out of a GQ patrol (as they are supposed to be a bolt in fit and offer an extra 20lt of fuel capacity) Make a front bar for it and make a roof basket which will hold 4 spotlights on the front and a couple at the back for reversing lights and get it setup for mild touring so i can get out there and do some driving in it
  22. most of my driving will be black top and i just want to be able to get a bit more power when i need it such as towing and the like or trying to get up a stupidly large hill while 4x4ing
