  1. Cutting the springs will definetely increase the spring rate and firmer ride, but it isnt always a bad thing, or even very drastic depeneding how much you cut off

Ive cut plenty of coils on plenty of cars, including most of my own to get wheel gaps almost perfect, im pretty picky on that

Its when you HEAT the coils to lower it that the ride quality goes out the window and your driving down the road feeling like your ass is on a trampoline

  2. I can pull my headliner out in less than an hour....

But Ive had it out 10+ times for sound deadning and various coverrings Ive put on it

Like everyone else said, it bends easy as hell, and you need atleast one set of extra hands during removal.

Its not to hard to remove all the pillar trim plastics, rubber mouldings, visors and map light and "oh @!*%" handles (which I deleted)

An option for you depending how bad of condition your headliner is in, simply cut out or grind away the mould/weather areas of the headliner, and do a layer or two of fiberglass to repair the area. Then pick the material of your choice to put on the headliner (suede is fairly cheap)

Like others have said, buying a headliner isnt cheap, and shipping it would be near impossible, so unless you can find one local I would try and work with the one you have got.

  3. Ive had Acura RSX seats in mine, I had 2011 Acura MDX seats for a while until I broke them. I now have "stock" seats with modified backs (just with more foam on the bolsters)

So yes, you can easily fit seats in our cars. We have a very simple bolt system/pattern and if you can measure/weld/drill holes youll be fine

We have plenty of width for a standard racing/offroad seat aswell. And you can find those quite cheap on Ebay nowadays

  4. Short and sweet. Im sick of paying $10 a can at crappy tire for there horrible to sand, forever to dry high build primer. What stores sell some good stuff, or can order it for me. That you guys have had success with.

Im in the process of doing some bodywork and need some high build primer that will stick to plastic, body filler, scuffed paint etc. Hoping for a very good hiding primer, that builds and fills. Are there any good options in canada? Preferably aerosol for the little projects that I mainy stick to.

Im also going to be re bedlining my front and rear bumpers, most likely with aerosol textured bedliner, and was thinking an adhesion promoter would be a good idea. Ive never seen it for sale though, anyone ever seen it?

And to top it off, I need this stuff in canada if you didnt catch that.

Point me in the right direction please

  5. Best place to draw power from? Obviously the battery. I use a simple auto on/off kit that I bought off ebay for like $25, its just a rad fin probe and a few wires to a heavy duty relay (dual fans can pull 25+ amps). Turns on @ 190 turns off at 180 I think. They even sell adjustable ones for a bit more money

I wouldnt say I noticed a fuel mileage gain since I dont really pay attention to mileage with how little I drive, but the few extra ponies you may free up, and all the space in the engine bay you gain but ridding of the shroud and fan that can take your hand off, is more than worth my hundred dollars.

  6. Polys not lasting long?? Poly bushings last FOREVER, Ive only had the polys in my Qx4 for 2 years, but they still appear and feel new. But Ive had poly bushings in my other cars for 10+ years and they dont show signs of fatigue or breakdown at all.

A $70 replacement control arm?... I dont know if I would trust that compared to the well built oem

Putting poly bushings on the oem arm is EASY

  7. I ordered the split trailing arm bushings and will try to do those myself since you don't need a 35 ton press. Luckily my friend just opened up a shop and I can use his lift. I also ordered the pan hard rod bushings.

I want the panhard rod bushings. I dont knwo why or how I havent orderred them yet. Probably the eqasiest of the rear end bushings to

  8. Not all balljoints are detachable though. My factory ones were detachable YES

But I bought aftermarket ball joints off ebay from korea or whatever, and the ball joint and 3 studs were all one riveted part. It didnt have the seperate full metal plate with the 3 pressed studs in it like my OEM and now my Backarnleys balljoints do.

I think breaking a balljoint apart and doing that instead of removing the 3 nuts is much easier to drop the LCA though

  9. I've taken a couple of pathy gas tanks out and in both cases there was no "crap" in the bottom of the tank. I'm starting to think it is one of those automotive myths.

Ive pulled more than one honda tank and see ALOT of sediment looking sludge/rust in there

A fairly new mercedes sedan had alot of white particles floating around to. I dont think tanks are clean at all
