  1. Brothers other trucks, Yes SFA 1984 2.4L diesel left hand drive.
  2. I installed a new starter in my 94 and it was not too bad. Other than trying to find a way to get the bad one out it went smoothly. All i did was remove the belly pan and oil filter and wiggle it forward and I just wiggled it over the steering and it cam out and i did the same to put the new one in. I did not have to drop the steering or anything like that. Just make sure you move it so the solenoid is facing up so it is on the top and it will come out. BTW i do not have a lift it is stock.
  3. I agree, the worst part about driving in winter is the other drivers that forget how to drive on icy roads. It is usually the jacked up F-350's i see on their roof in the ditch. Yes you can get more traction on the road in 4x4 but they forget about the stopping part.
  4. Just curious to me what you all think about the winter roads. I guess this will not apply to everyone since some people don't see snow!! Up here in Alberta we see a lot. Personally i love driving in the snow, it makes it entertaining. I see a big drift of snow and i will go right through it(as long as it is not hard ) Cheers
  5. Oh really well thats good to ear then about the gas. Fina;;y i can run regular in one of my vehicles. as for the tune up. Ya i will try a simple tune up on it today.
  6. I just bought this truck just over a week ago so i am not too sure about the history. I have yet to check the timing and have not done a tune up yet. I am running just regular 87 octane gas(i know i should run premium minimum 91 octane but i read that after the fact i fueled up a couple times). And there is no other engine issues to my knowledge. I ran the ECU and it said code 32 and 34 but i manages to find a cracked hose to eliminate the 32. The only other thing i have to fix is the starter. I need to replace it but do not have the time at the moment since it is a real pain to replace due to its location. I did download the service manual but i did not find the proper information i was looking for. BTW i am new to Nissan's since just over a week ago lol. So ever piece of knowledge I receive I greatly appreciate.
  7. Yeah what i was thinking was mounting the knock sensor to the top of the engine in the hole of one of the bracket cable holders. Just get the same size of bolt but longer and hold it up there, only thing i do not know is if the KS harness has more than two wires. I need it to have two to splice it in. I guess i will just order the harness and hope it does not have the injector wires in the harness. The reason why people were using the 99 maxima harness for their pathfinder relocation was because it only had the two KS wires in the harness where as the R50 harness had the injector wires in the same harness. Well might have to guinea pig it. If it works out i will take pics or video of what i do and post it in to the "How-To" section for others that may stumble upon this problem and don't have time to take apart the manifold.
  8. yeah i was thinking of keeping it unplugged but i thought the connector also connected injectors. Could be wrong though. With it being unplugged will i still get the same ****** fuel mileage as i have now with a bad KS?
  9. So i have a 94 and i am having my check engine light come on and it is reading code 34 which is my KS. I have read on other forums that KS going bad is a common problem with the nissans and some people have just relocated it rather than taking the manifold off to get to it. I was wondering if anyone has done it, i have found some tutorials but they are for the R50's using a 1999 maxima harness. So basically i am just wondering if this will work. Thanks. Cheers
  10. haha thanks ya i took it on some dirt hills to see what it would do, i was very surprised the hills i was easily able to climb. Popped her in 4 low and she climbed right up it with barely any gas. pretty good for stock. The mud around here is all dry at the moment. BTW i like your rifles you would fit right in over here in alberta! cheers
  11. Hey thanks for the warm welcoming. I got a couple pictures they are not very good because i just took them with my blackberry, my camera is dead at the moment and i have to find the charger. So here she is, stock, little bit of rust, not too bad for $700 though.
  12. Hey guys, I just joined the forums here and I already like it. Last week i bought a 1994 Nissan Pathfinder XE automatic with 238km. I love the "How-to" section, I have already been reading it for hours so I decided why not join up. I am new to nissan but I already like it. I began just purchasing the pathy to get me through winter as i drive a 2003 mitsubishi eclipse gt in the summer but now i am thinking about putting a lift and making a off road machine. Thank you for all your guys help that you have already given me through these forums;I am like a sponge at this point. Cheers,
