  1. i just finished talking to a representative at Nissan North America.

He told me he couldn't find my "particular vehicle" or my dads name(its under his name).

So therefore he said there was nothing he could do because the VIN that i gave him was not coming up.

he only told me maybe if i take it to a dealerships they could come up with something.

it has some rust spots on passenger fender, and 2 days ago the steering got really stiff

i could not turn. the good thing is that was only parking.

    what else can i do?

P.S. two people told me different things about my truck at Nissan North America.

one, it could not be found. the other, it was not pathfinder it was frontier. wth?

  2. haha i ran into a similar situation, but it was the opposite. The dealer told me i was not affected, and Nissan North America told me i was affected. And to take it to the nearest dealer for service. So i guess i need to take it to the dealer that told me i was not affected to get it looked at...:rofl:

it is for pathfinders...find out who you talked to at NONA and talk to someone else

yeah, i don't really pay attention to who i talk to on the phone. It was a girl, so yeah...

since my first language is Spanish i talked to someone in Spanish.

now im currently on hold. I'm trying in English this time.

  3. I'm missing the two front speaker amps.

can i add some from another vehicle?

i have looked on local junkyard but they only have wd21's.

does 21's have those? or xterras, frontiers, maximas, altimas?

    thanks!

  4. can anyone do a photochop of the rims with regular tires on(not offroad tires)?

or anyone has a pic with those rims but with regular tires on?

    i found some on CL.

    (2) have BF Goodrich Rugged Trail T/A 245/65/17 not much tread life on them. $50

    (2) have Dakota Definity A/T 265/70/17 very good tread left on them. (see pictures) $100

  5. to make it short, I've seen these rims on Chevy Tahoe police SUV's

and wondered how they would look on a pathfinder.

lug pattern seems the same from what I've searched.

    here are some pics

now if these police rims are expensive

we can also use Chevy Express Cargo Van rims and paint them black.

  6. You're saying the high beam indicator is lit even if the low beams are on?

yes. but only when i wire it a certain way.

example: right now the HB indicator light is lit(when headlight are on)

but the HB on driver side does not work (when i push for HB).

so if i wire it so that the HB can work, the indicator light goes off.

but then i will be stuck with HB all the time(on driver side only).

i do have DRL i know how they work.

DRL is fine the only problem is the HB.

  7. so my driver side headlight connection/connector melted.

i bought a new one at autozone.

there 3 wires which i think are positive, negative and ground.

but it doesn't matter how i connect them, its still wrong.

i get low beam but not the high beam.

i get high beam but not low beam.

i get DRL but not high or low beam.

and the HIGH beam light on dash is lit when headlight are on.

    can anyone help me?

  8. there are a few spots on the passenger side.

and about the paint, how hard is it to blend-in the paint?

ive seen some videos where they paint like half the car to be able to blend the paint evenly.

is that really necessary? my spots are 3in l/w at most.

  9. so i just sold my system and wanna use that money to fix my rust.

and i dont know exactly what tools i need.

ITS SURFACE RUST it has not gone through!

can anyone help me? sandpaper, primer, etc....

  10. so I'm having a bit of a dilemma.

gas prices are soaring here in Chicago.

my pathy is starting to show the rust.

i dont have a job due to health issues.

now i'm thinking of selling it if i dont get a job soon.

but its looks nasty with the little rusts spots.

i would fix now but the weather does not cooperate.

    what would you do?

fix rust, and keep if a job is found

even if gas prices are higher than ever?

dont fix and sell "as is" even if it loses some value?

maybe trade "as is" for a small car?

edit: truck is running fine. no problems whatsoever!

  11. seems that i am a newbie when it comes to the internet.

for hours in only visit at most five pages including facebook and youtube.

but im sure there is a lot more to roam through.

i hate going through pics and more pics.

i hate having to click from video to another video.

i'm mainly into games but GOOD QUALITY games which is hard to find for free on the net.

i've read some hacking tips to get good games but im afraid of viruses and having to wait a million hours for it to download.

does anyone have any good web pages where i will no get bored easily?

    any suggestions?

  12. That was an option for me initially but I ended up doing the whole thing. IF there was no rust and little dings, I would have just painted the bumpers n flares, and that alone would have been ok. But when the flares n bumpers came off, you see a lot of rust and accumulated dirt. It is better to deal with it at one time otherwise it would just get worse in a hurry. I wanted to also change the standard grayish oe color on the bumpers n flares. You can take them off (be sure to order OE clips/fasteners)-sand down/prep then paint the whole thing. Methinks blending the paint would be a good option also and would probably look better.

    thanks!

a few rust spots have started to pop out and i wanna fix them this summer.

i was hoping to match the paint instead of painting most of the truck.

and on the flares, mine started to peel off.
