Awww dammit, wish some one wouldve told me sooner, i allready put ATF in my transfer case.... Oh well hope it doesn't cause problems....

I don't know about the auto,mine is a manual, on mine I have to remove the torsion bar crossmember, tranny mount crossmember, and.... The exhaust Y-pipe, but depending on how yours is setup, it may have different requirements for you... The guy that did the clutch before I bought it screwed the tranny up because he didn't put enough oil in it, (through the top) and he drove it like a mad man, and didn't put any of the exhaust gaskets back on, nor did he clean out the fragment of clutch disc that exploded, or reset the torsion bars(correctly) but this time we did it the right way. As far as yours I can say to much...we did it on the ground also, maybe be easier on a lift?

So i got my transmission in on saturday, all in one day! and its quiet, still have to put the interior shifter boots on but hey!

Bought Some Sta-Lube, 80-90 or somethin like that and got my truck back to gether yay!!

Well, I bought two gallons of Sta-Lube from napa. It's GL-4! And lower. So all good to go to put the transmission back together.

What is this TSB everyone is talking about? Sorry I didn't mean to sound so mad, I'm just trying to figure this out so I can get my truck back out on the road, and as I said earlier, I've used the search function, don't like, it shows everything with the words that I type in, and I never find anything useful... Ok, first, nonone SAID that YOU had to answer back, I'm not expecting a ton of answers but so far nonone has gave me an exact amount of quarts for nonone of this, and I did to search, and just as I said I didn't find anything that was helpful to my engine, the thread "GL-4" was to be a disscussion on what oil I need to use and somehow ended up talking about all of it that's stated in this thread.... So there's ur explanation for that...

On the label on GL-5 does it say in the ingredients what it contains or anything? Maybe if i read i can determine whats in them that i shouldnt use... and can i use GL4- GL-5 Rated oil???

So how many quarts of GL-4 goes in the tranny? The Transfer Case? And the Engine?

The Book recommends i use API GL-4 75-90w.......

I think we have a store in town that sells redline stuff. So maybe it won't be so expensive, beins I won't have to have it shipped.... Right?

I have read many things about how my 93 has to have gl4 in the transmission. But regular 80-90 oil is cheaper and easie to find? Would it be okay to go with 75- what ever, or 80-90, or do I really need to get gl4????

Manual trans.. ATF came out of my transfer case so thats what ill put in it, i didnt drain the diffs so they should be good, i think im gonna put GL4 gear oil in the trans and 10-40W in the engine.. Good?

How much to buy the tires and skid plate and send em to me?
