  1. Hi everyone. My Pathfinder is in the shop and I need some quick measurements if you have them handy. i have an 88 2dr se-v6 with foldable back seats. i'd like to know: 1. the interior back area dimensions when the seats are in use 2. the interior back area dimensions when the seats are folded forward thank you in advance for this -CYRUS
  2. sorry... i put this in the wrong section... should have been in ''off topic''
  3. Allo everyone. Quick question. Would a WD21 interior visor work in a 94 Sentra. I have no access to the Sentra at the moment to see if they look similar, so I figured I would ask my more knowledgeable friends here. Thanks
  4. any location in particular? such as the middle or lower, etc?
  5. struts is a better word than ''thingys'' - thanks! do you bend them with any tools or just with your brute strength?
  6. so it seems like that spot is prone to rusting on a lot of Pathfinders from that era. I was thinking that I was the unlucky one for a moment.
  7. thanks for such a detailed reply. I am utterly useless with fixing such a huge problem so i'm having help and hopefully learning some things along the way. Mine is rusted at basically the same places. will the fibreglass patches double as a rust inhibitor? if not, what do you recommend as a good product for that. I'd like to get some preventative measures in place to minimise any future rusting
  8. I went to the junkyard today, where I picked up some wheel caps and a full size spare rim I saw a 4-door 1991 Pathfinder there and I plan to go back tomorrow and see if I can salvage anything else. Question: Will the roof rack off a 91 work for an 88? and will the hyraulic things that keep the tailgate up be interchangeable?
  9. Hello Everyone! So, today I got my 88 2-door back from my mate who was working on some suspension issues and now it's time for me to do the rest myself, with your help of course. I will be asking a tonne of questions and I realise that a lot of them will be redundant and silly, but I appreciate all the help you provide in advance. Problems fixed to date: Rear suspension and springs Wheel caps and full size spare rim Things to be done: Replace rusted out panel below back seats Left Front indicators Hydraulic lifting thingys to keep back door up Full seat-belts for rear seats Left rear quarter panel body repair Fender flares Front bumper repair Find replacement side-steps or alternatives I shall post pictures up and start using the search function now Thanks Cyrus
  10. wow thanks for posting that. i was actually going to have mine replaced, but now i suppose it's just a matter of going to a dealership. i hope they will match the factory blue.
  11. so now i know where to go for parts. i'm quite happy at the apparent rarity here - people almost don't know what the heck it is
  12. that's good to hear. i haven't seen a single 2 door wd21 in these parts since i got mine and i've been looking furiously.
  13. thanks in advance for the help that i am sure i will get here... and as for football, it's one thing to be keen on blokes in shorts, but i am still wondering how the american throwball fans justify the tightpant bumpatting rahrah ness of it all... *runs and hides*
  14. are your ''rcoker panels'' paint or did you add another piece of metal to the body? at the moment, i am in need of side steps, but i reckon getting them for the 2-door will be quite a task...
  15. we've become too dependent on roon this season to a fault, but i reckon now we'll have to pull something out of the magic chest to capture the premiership... i'm certainly not looking forward to the stress of these last few games though...
  16. I've been calling junkyards on Long Island and no one seems to care for the first generation pathfinders, i'm afraid, so if you have a source that i can use, do share. first repair is the rusted floor panels below the back seats and wheelwells... the engine runs like a champion thus far so i'm lucky i am still deciding what my approach should be for her. since adding pink accents has already been done, i'll have to go to plan b *wink*
  17. I'm a 3rd Generation United supporter, mate, so you're tops in my book already. I'm gutted about the last week of results though - bloody awful showing. I never had the opportunity of seeing Jeddah in my short time there
  18. whereabouts in Saudi? I did some work in Dahran and Riyadh when I was at university... during your time in England, did you follow football, and if so, what team do you support? This will determine if we get along or not. i was quite amazed at seeing 128k on her as well. I bought it from a bloke who's father was the first and only owner so it makes sense I suppose if it was his second vehicle.
  19. cheers! photobucket account in the works i have no idea when the timing belt was done. I will suggest that it's been quite a while.
  20. allo everyone. Cyrus here. Currently in New York, although I was born in Zimbabwe and spent most of my life in England. I came across my 88 Terrano/Pathfinder a couple of weeks ago on the side of the road and instantly fell in love. I'd always liked them growing up but haven't seen on in these parts (Long Island) ever really so as you can imagine, I was super eager to acquire it and 500 dollars for 128k miles and great shape all around was well worth it in my opinion. As this is the first vehicle that I've bought that requires work done by myself, I shall be asking a lot of questions here I am sure, and I apologise in advance for the ignorance that my accompany my queries. Pictures to follow as soon as I figure out how to. Cheers for now -CYRUS
  21. is repairing the rust under the back seat of his 88 terrano
