  1. I know this is a bit late but Baaaaaaaaaahahhahahahahhahaha $ 15,000.00 Baaaaaaahahahahahhaha. O my some peoples children.
  2. I would do what my1path said. If you get another rig thats used you will still need to put parts into it. If you buy something new it may last awhile befor it needs parts but then you have a payment. That $2000.00 repair bill will seem small by the time you get your new rig payed off. $ 2000.00 wont be long getting chewed up in a couple of months on payments. Then you still need to keep making payments. Take that $ 2000.00 repair bill and get it fixed or do some upgrades like my1path said. My 2 cents.
  3. It was a fluid line not sure of the exact line though. They said that there was a air pocket traped in the line. I have no idea how it got there eather because I had the truck for 2 years befor it happend and I changed the fluid when I first bought it. I had the trouble when I was going down a hill doing about 50 55 mph and turned the over drive button off. Rpm's shot up to 4500 and stayed like it.
  4. I had a similar problem with my 88 when i owned it. Its not the same thing that you are describing though. When the pathfinder reached 45 to 55 mph it use to stay at that speed and rev to about 4000 4500 rpm. My first thought was the transmission was toast and the clutchs were slipping. So i brought it to a trans shop and got them to look at it and it turned out to be a line air locked. Only cost me 50 bucks to get it fixed. Better than having a trans rebuilt. Dont know if this helps any with your problem. Post when you find out the problem and good luck.
  5. Very nice job. Glad to see that it wasn't crushed and turned into a pop can. Keep up the good work.
  6. I would be interested in a set of upper and lowers for a R50 depending on cost and shipping. Give me a price shipped to Newfoundland, Canada. Postal code A1X 5C7.
  7. What oil and weights is everyone useing in there Transfer case, front and rear diffs. Thanks.
  8. www.4x4parts.com is where you will find a lift for your Pathfinder. Its where I bought mine from. Welcome to the site.
  9. Thanks for the input everybody.
  10. Getting ready to change my timing belt, tensioners, water pump and thermostat. The queston is should I change the crank seal and cam seals or leave them alone if they are fine. Or when I have everything apart is it just as well to change them out. Any input would be great. Thanks
  11. I have a 98 so im not shure what the rear of a 2001 is like. When i put mine on i did not have to remove the bumper. My pathfinder has the nuts on the inside of the fram rail as well and all you need is the bolts. But they are a bi#ch to get in on the top on the driver side. As for yours it might be easy but I had a little bit of touble. Hope this helps you some.
  12. I know that this is a bit late but I have a 98 LE and befor I put my lift on I had 31x10.5x15 tires on the stock rims for about 4 years with no problems just a little rubbing. They are the exact same rims you have on your pathfinder now.
  13. Nice one lol . That would also be a nice rock to live on. It would be a hell of a drive to work in the morning tho.
  14. Hello I am new to this site but not new to offroading. I have been offroading for about 9 years. I started with a 1988 Pathfinder and now own a 1998 Pathfinder with a 2'' AC lift and 31'' Super Swamper Thornbird tires. I look foward to talking to many of you to see what you are doing with your rigs, and getting help when i have a problem. Thanks
