Thanks guys, great suggestions. I took it into the shop, got it back last night. They tested all of those things previously suggested or mentioned, all was fine. What they did find was that the distributor had been removed at one time and reinstalled one tooth off, and the timing was then advanced an additional 15 degrees to 30. The mechanic repositioned the distributor and it was fine. They replaced the coolant temp sensor, thermostat, plugs and changed the oil etc. $400 later it runs great but I still am not convinced any of these things caused the fuel issue. How could it have? I tend to believe it is more something like a sticky injector. Everything else checked out fine, for now.
