  1. hi guys, yesterday was the first day off winter here, so needless to say i went 4x4'ing , now my problem is that when i take a right turn my E-brake and ABS lights turn on, but when i take a left turn it shuts off. I have recently done all the brakes.(discs on all 4's) also i would like to add the my ABS does not seem to work at all. what do you suggest i look at first? this has me really worried!
  2. thanks for the information guys. if i did get the 31x10.5 would that throw off the speedometer? also would these nankang tires be good for winter driving? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/New-Nankang-Mudstar-Radial-M-T-Tire-s-31x10-50R15-31-15-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem5ad9b4a119QQitemZ390199550233QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fTires
  3. so unless i get some wider rims, i should just stick with 235/75-15's?
  4. thanks for the reply's i guess what i was trying to figure out was will a 31x10.5 will fit on the stock rims that i have. i cant seem to find out what width these rims are.
  5. hi guys im a proud owner of a 91 Pathinder, and with winter arriving very quickly i am looking to do a tire upgrade. i was wondering what is the biggest tire i can fit on stock rims/ride height without rubbing or cutting the fenders. im looking at these http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/New-Nankang-Mudstar-Radial-M-T-Tire-s-31x10-50R15-31-15-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem5ad9b4a119QQitemZ390199550233QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fTires here is what my truck looks like
  6. Just got done flushing my 91 pathfinder. First thing i noticed was the shift from 1-2 was so much smoother. Second thing i noticed was the transmission was much smoother. Third thing i noticed was the shift from park to drive has about 50% less clunk when going into gear. I will perform flush #2 after a few 100KM. If you have not flushed your trans and are thinking about, DO IT! I simply dropped the plug on the drain pan, measured the amount that came out of the transmission. and filled it accordingly.
  7. ya its a little late for me.i got a great deal on a 5 gallon pale of esso ATF dexron III. next questions is there a filter on the auto transmission? im a little confused by the sticky post "Changing auto tranny fluid?". i was just gonna drop the drain plug, drain the auto fluid, refill, drive and repeat.(2 flushes) am i missing something?
  8. ok i bought everything i need to to a tranny/diff/transfer case flush. next question is where do you fill the transmission from? on my 5 speed, i would fill it from the shifter location.
  9. HI, i have a 1991 pathfinder. i need to know what type of automatic transmission fluid is used. and also what is used in the transfer case and front diff. i can't seem to find any of this information online. thanks in advance
  10. thanks for the reply, i have a FSM for my 87 300zx, i just assumed you guys would have this available on the forum. im trying to learn about my truck, and more specifically i need to know about the fluids and how much to add, and what type, for the transfer case, auto transmission and the differential.
  11. hi guys, i was wondering if anyone knew where i can download a service manual for 1991 pathfinder SE. i dont want to waste time buying a haynes manual.
  12. hi guys, im new to the forum and pathfinders.I own a z31 so im familiar with the VG30. Im not used to driving a vehicle this size, and have some concerns about winter. 1)My question is, when i get on a slippery road and hammer the brakes, they completely lock up, i don't feel any pulsating in the pedal. what should i be looking at? 2) how well does the pathfinder handle in winter? I do lots of highway driving, is it safe to drive at 100KM in 4x4? 1991 Pathfinder Green Auto 4x4 Fully loaded, truck now has 176000KM's It's in Great condition couple of pics
