  1. Did not have the taking out or putting back in of the front diff problem when i did mine :D (yes it has one  )

But even if you can fit the engine back in with the hood in place, I agree with removing the four 10mm's and moving that veiw blocker out of the way ;)

do you remember how you did the diff install then? because taking it out was a bitch.

turns out the # 6 rod bearing got fried sooo bad. it was oozing oout the side of the rod/crankshaft. the con rod is gloss black from the heat and quenching itself in old ass oil. it looks like the main cause was the oil pressure regulartor giving up the ghost and starving the engine of oil. im only half way done with tearing the engine apart and may find more breakage. take it easy guys.

  3. Well i just brought home a 92 pathfinder se. i got it for 600 bucks. the motor is toast (rod knock, spun rod bearing, valve noise), but still runs, has 180k on it, its a 5 speed and has lsd and disc rear end. i think i did ok, it has no rust only a little bit of surface starting in the lower corners of the rear doors. other then that i think its pretty solid. go here for pics:

tell me what you guys think about it.
