  1. yeah dude im thinkin a 4x4 pathy. not gonna be pullin the same stuff as i did in the ranger though so i dont think itll be as entertaining. YOU STILL HAVENT SENT ME THAT VIDEO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

About the Video...... -thnkboutit- Forgive me.....i'm a lazy A@#....I've had the cd in my tool box drawer at work for months. I will try and get it to you soon....Sorry@! Not to make excuses, but for the last few months i've doing this.......

  2. Check out your local discount ad magazine....sometimes you'll find some nice beefy old stick welders or maybe even a wire feed for under $300.

If you get a 115/120 Volt wire feed, you MUST have a dedicated 20amp breaker for it. If you tie into an existing 20amp circuit, you'll spend more time resetting the breaker than welding. Also look for a welder with an internal cooling fan, if it doesn't have one i can tell you how to add one. The fan will increase the length and depth you can weld without stopping by 20-30%. Most of the Harbor Freight specials don't have fans, but it's real easy to add one.

    Happy Hunting

  3. How does powdercoating hold up to brake dust? I see a lot of aftermarket rim manufacturers actually paint and clear coat their rims.....Just my 2 cents....

I'm glad you found a good mechanic....i had a good one many years ago, but he had some personal issues and dissapeared on me, i've been looking for a new mechanic for 8 years now and i still can't find one i trust.....There are two good ones a my local stealership, but the hourly rates are insane ($80/Hr). I guess that's the going rate.....

Good luck with the cam issues...i hope no serious damage has happened...

  4. Here's mine....its a Harbor Freight special Chicago Electric Dual MIG 131....Like MWS said, you get what you pay for....i can weld 1/8" no problem, but any thicker and i have toi pre-heat and use sheild gas, but it's not easy! I wouldn't do any suspension or frame welding with it, i bought for all my small house projects and to practice for work. At work we use 7 Different Miller units...don't remember the models and 4 different Lincolns....From what the welder guys tell me they like all the units, but they each have their limitations.

If you plan on doing some serious frame or suspension welding, then save up and get a good unit like MWS said. If you only want to do some small sheet metal work and maybe some non critical brackets, then the unitl ike mine will do....but you'll quickly outgrow it.

    Happy hunting....

  5. Kmgar99---At this point---YES! I would like the silver ones...my fam and friends are saying awww just pain 'em....no way these rims are too expensive to re paint and try to explain I would just re-ebay them advertising them right and try to raise funds to get the right shh!!

....do you have silver ones??

The BS on the rims is 39mm---I just don't know what my Neepers are (BS)

Kmarg99--did I already ask if you have those?? :o I would love to get this straightened out!

Sorry man, i had a set on my wifes Altima, but they went with it at trade in for her new Volvo S40

  6. Drop a Nissan engine with a supercharger out of a Frontier or an X....You can get the engines from Japan with 40K miles or less for cheap....Plus it would be an easier fit....

As far as SBC's....ran both of mine..a 307 and the a 350 for over 250K each....the reason they don't last is when you have a decent amout of power on hand you ten to drop the hammer on it a lot more.....with my POS 3.3 in my 97 Pathy i have to baby it for fear of it exploding....Of course the lack of power could be the 32" tires with stock gears... but who knows.....

    I miss my Chevelle!!!!!

  7. Man you have a lot of work ahead of you. But since your going totally Off Road with it, id say, gut it to the skeleton, cut the doors in half.....and whatever else you want to do, and everything all of us would love to do to ours....

I agree with 88, holly crap, that bumper seems HUGE!

I'd be willing to pay $$$ to see that Pathy on those 38's!

Good luck man....if you need any help, you know where to turn.....

  8. I would ask Discount or another tire and RIM! place to check the balance of them before you buy......Not too many repuatable(sp?) shops will bore out a RIM!...that's something only a machine shop would do to a RIM! So in conclusion...check the RIMS! out really good, and maybe even check out RIM! manufacturers to see if you can find a set of RIMS! that look similar, but were made for your truck.

RIMS...RIMS...RIMS...RIMS.....Wheel is what caveman invented, RIMS are what go on your car!

  9. Do you have the Tech manual for the R50? I have it as a pdf....but the engine control section is 9.8MB's alone! I can trie and zip it and e-mail it to you. It shows every pin on the ECM (ECCS Control Module)...is this what your looking for?

  10. You can use CRUTCHFIELD to do allyour research and get any adapter/wire harness thingy's through them. Then go buy the unit they said will work somewhere else cheaper.

Thats what i did. I got a hold of a Sony Explod from my work and bought the adapter plug so i could still have the head unit run throught hte stock Bose amp. Works great.....Wiring is a PIA, but it worked.

  11. No brake light, just the ABS light. Maybe this weekend I will pull the tires off and take a closer look, is there a sensor on every wheel guys?? (I'm a rookie at ABS stuff).

Thanks for the replies everyone... :aok:

Yup, 4 wheel ABS, sensor on each wheel
