i have the 97 my dad gave me
some black and red vans. good shoes i might add.

dads got a honda ridgeline
had a nissan frontier but nobody but me liked it so my dad sold it
In a few years i hope to have the pathy and a 2007 mustang gt500. this being my daily driver
i still have love for the pathy just always wanted a mustang -
One of my current ecu codes is p1441 ELC system. Does anyone know what the elc system is and what may be causing this light? In addition to my rant about cold air intakes and shop mechanics the other codes are reading O2 sensors wich is an easy fix. Im just hung up on the ELC system so any help would be great!!! thanks

well i dont know how much longer i will own my pathy its have alot of problems and when i get out ouf college i will buy a brand new car maybe a new path i dont know yet but any way i need new suspension and im thinking about doing the whole this over buying parts and havong a garage put them on i dont have the resources to do it myself im thinking about ordering parts through automotive customizers but how involved it the suspension on a path i have a 97. it look fairly straight forward but what would i need other than coils shocks and struts

how about the oil pump if there is no oil flowing to the engie it would seize right just a guess but worth a shot

dirty should be an option i think that they all look good caked with some nice mud!!!!

the suspension of my pathy seems really loose. i can really shake it by hand like the whole truck rocks and if i hit bumps it takes a while for it to stabilize what could that be is it the struts how much for replacements how much would new suspension in the back cost rough estimates are fine thanks guys

actually i had to help with the deck and fence digging post holes wich by law have to be 5 feet deep for saftey reasons is a pain in the butt ill tell you that much... but honestly i worked hard for the car i pulled my own weight (and im kind of a fat kid) but it was worth it.

the rotten egg smell usualy meens a missfire... tell me exactly what code are coming up and ill look up the definitions if you dont know them you sure its ecu code 55 they usually start at 100 or 0100 ill try and help as much as i can feel free to pm me if i can help i will

im new also so welcome i have the same problem as above my girl friend is afraid of motors i think she will race me once and a while but sometimes shes a girly girl she needs to go off roading more and to the mall less

jb weld is holding my girl friends bumper on her saturn with the aid of ductape but i vote duct tape over all

ive tried taking off the 2 screws on it but it wont slide off and i dont like forceing things unless thats the only way to get it off because it has the over drive button on it and i dont want to make it worse than it already is

well you guys must be sick of my questions by now but this forum is like christmas for me. my shift nob for the tranny not 4 wheel is sticking well the button is the linkage is clean and nothings bent how hard is it to change it assuming a ican find one that will fit and beable to replace it any one ever done this before thanks guys i love this forum

i would sell mine for as much as i can get and buy one thats a 5 speed and start in on that rather than use the auto that i have 5 speeds are way more fun

yea i cant find headers but thats ok anyway yea the pathfinder was my dads he bought it new in 1997 and then when i turned 16 he gave it to me in traid for a summers worth of work around the house its a nice car and i love it.

no no i went to a mechanic and he told me the high flow filter threw off the computer i told him thats whack (inlight of a swear) i told him the o2 sensors in the exhaust burnt out wich they do on a 9 year old car so i think if they get replaced and then i go to pep boys or a speed shop and get one intalled it will be fine. I dont think the airflow will burn out a resistor because thats not how it works the codes coming up link to the emissions from the exuasht sensors and i have a code reader for my laptop so you guys are right i think they are giving me the run around. Sorry about my spelling i have my wisdom teeth out and the pain medicine isnt really making me feel so hot i hate it percs are not fun they leave my head in a fog and alls i want to do is drive but i dont dare drive while taking these meds

i put on a cold air intake and shortly after my check andgine light came on the mechanic said the high flowing air de calibrated the engine and burnt out the mass airflow sensor what can i do to have it work correctly if i have pep boys for example install one will the make sure everything is tuned properly

i dont like these seats they werent the ones i ordered but the gave them to me for 10 apiece so i live with it
i re sprayed my interior black and red one day with duplicolor vinyl dye it looks ok needs alittle touching up it took about 8 hours to take the interior out paint it and put it back in it was fun. i recently had the exhaust replaced because it got stuck on a root and the exhaust manifold rattles when the car is cold and i dont really care haha if i fail inspetion ill buy headers and 150 apiece instead of 698 dollar stupid things

Hey guys im matt from beverly mass and i love pathfinders this is my first car and it was free and beat up but i like it. one question i ordered stickers and joined up and i have payment conformation but i havent receved and acknowledgement of being a member i joined last week any idea how long it takes

well to be honest its safer to just replace the probebly rusted bolts i mean they cant be expensive parts so i would just replace them its safer in the long run.
